Which would you rather have at $400, last years Samsung Galaxy s10e with 5.8" AMOLED display (compared to 4.7" inferior LCD), 438 ppi density versus 326 ppi, 2280 x 1080 pixels (versus 750 x 1334 pixels), 6/8 gb RAM (3 gb in SE), expandable storage up to 1TB (none in SE), 83.3% screen to body ratio (compared to 65.4% with Apple SE), stereo speakers + headphone jack, dual rear cameras with OIS (compared to single camera), Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (flagship cpu last year), 3100 mah battery (only 1821 in Apple SE - lol, samsung battery is +70% larger).
Apple A13 bionic may very well be faster but we are at a point of diminishing returns, 99% of you would never be able to tell the difference in day-to-day usage. But in EVERY_OTHER_CATEGORY the Samsung S10e is a vastly superior device, with vastly better hardware, and prices are now around $370 usd that INCLUDES a 15w charger (both have wireless charging).
You can be an Apple fanboi all you like, but you can't deny there are much better phones on the market TODAY than this 8 year old design SE. In 1 year the flagship S20's will be around the $400 mark as well so there will be even less reason to get a low spec phone from Apple when you can get last years FLAGSHIP on the android side.
Here compare for yourself, if you buy the SE, then accept the flaws in your logic, accept that you are being ripped off (many by choice), but don't try to rationalize it by thinking you are getting anything other than a low-mid range phone.

there was a time where Apple was truly an innovator and it's sad to see them use old outdated components to pawn off onto unsuspecting public who don't know any better. Do you realize the exact same LCD was used on the iPhone 6, from 6 years ago? The body is identical to the iPhone 8 from 3 years ago but the overall design is 8 years old (iPhone 3 - huge bezels, camera placement, home button, etc). Even the battery size from the iPhone 8 to the 2020 SE is exactly the same (once again using 3 year old technology.)
This phone is NOT from 2020, it's from 2012 - 2017.

2. Huawei is basically dead now and I never wanted to use one because of that awful skin and all that bloatware they put in their phones

There was zero effort from Apple to make this phone. Please try to compare regular iPhone 8 and iPhone SE 2020 on this site and you'll see there almost no difference. It's the same body, same display, same everything besides that SoC. I don't hate Apple, but this is just unacceptable and it's not even fair to iPhone SE fans that have been waiting for new SE for a long time.

Everything seems alright. A bit skeptical on the battery. At the $399 price point, you cant ask for more

This iPhone looks so awesome! They're changed their mind and added a Home button to it!
I like that. Besides design, the most awesome thing that it uses the same CPU and GPU as iPhone 11. It is still faster than my iPhone!
(btw i'm still using iPhone 6.) If i can get money i'll buy and jailbreak it!

My opinion is with 1821 mAh battery, with chipset 7nm+, cpu 2.65GHz with 1 camera wide, this phone made for what??? Gaming will heating, multi task cant stand long enough with low battery life. If used mobile data u still need powerbank carry with u

Is this a sick Apple joke? Bringing out a 'new' phone that is 3+ years old but, wait for it, at a new low price?! The development costs for this unit has been recovered umpteen times over and NOW they've got the balls to re-launch a dud at a low price to try to scrape up the residual (apple) market for their ho hum products! Ballsy! But doomed to fail; launching a model T Ford in 2020 will go nowhere fast.

Something's off about this phone and the release timing, its like android marketing thing that Apple is doing, simply changing the hardware and software with the same design format dosen't make sense, Because if they (Apple Inc) does something it will be revolutionary according to them and they will state the reason for the change not simply like this!
And for the battery thing about this phone..it's acceptable but not worth it!
People who doesn't do anything other than calling,chatting,camera thing,business stuff mostly premium thing and last showcase thing are best suited for this apple ecosystem
