It may have 1821mah battery, but iOS optimization means it probably will perform close to 3000mah battery in Android world... performance won't be an issue. Design, LCD and large bezels are more of an issue in 2020..

They make money using same old iphone 8 chassis. If you release new mobile phone you should use new materials not 3 years old. A call it scamming.

Saying that people who want an iPhone WANT all these? If anything, people who want an iPhone want ridiculously high specs LESS than those who want an Android. If you're even slightly serious about this, it's highly unlikely that I'll ever take you seriously again.

2 - How would that meal comparison make any sense at all?
3 - Like who? Say there is a ranking on front cameras, I would list them as #6 Large bezels, #5 Big Unnecessary Notches, #4 Smaller Notches like the waterdrop, #3 Holepunch, #2 Pop-Up, and #1 When under display cameras get better
4 - I had one of the earlier iPhones (i think the 3gs at the time), and I was really disappointed by the reliability of the updates and lack of features compared to the Android OS, and Apple still doesn't seem to care. With the $1000 iPhones, 64GB is really low with 4K video cameras, so they only supply it to bait you to the next one up, going to $1500. Apple care is $200 on top of that insane price, and if you choose not to buy it and go to a local repair shop, Apple will get mad that you didn't pay them to fix it so they will sue the repair shops. And you still don't get the fast charger in the box so you will need to pay an extra $100 for it. When you combine all of it, the high end iPhone really costs $1,800. Two hundred dollars less than my gaming laptop, not to mention that it reaches the price of Apple's entire computer range. You can get an iMac, a 4K iMac, an i7 Mac Mini, a Macbook Air, or a Macbook pro for the same price. If apple doesn't care, why should I?

- A13 Bionic (a very efficient processor)
- 4.7" screen (the display is small, so there's less of it to keep lit)
- 60Hz (a lower refresh rate lowers battery consumption)
- HD+ screen (a lower resolution also lowers battery consumption)
- The iPhone 8 had decent battery life, and this has the same stats as above, including battery size, but this phone has a more efficient processor.
Yes, I absolutely agree that the battery could be bigger, but it's not as awful as you're making it out to be. And also, there are quite a few reasons to buy this phone even if the battery life was bad:
- It's only $400
- You could buy a battery case or a battery pack (which is enhanced by the low price, so you have more money to spend on accessories)
- It's got a good camera, backed by a very good processor for software enhancements
- It's small, which is a good thing as almost no one is giving people who don't want huge phones any thought.
- It has what is currently the fastest processor in the world (and probably will be until Qualcomm makes a 5nm chip)
- Guaranteed 5+ years of software updates (not just security updates like Android phones have during their later years, full on software updates).

i dont understand why so much people complaining about this phone. here's a perspective from my side (10+ years of android user):
1. does any android OEM gives at least 3 major OS upgrade to their devices beside Google?
2. you can't compare android resource management and iOS resource management. it's like comparing between people's meal, some are enough with less, some will need more.
3. yes the fact that the design is quite old, but for some people, there's still out there who loves this kind of design. that's why apple still makes them, otherwise why would they spend so much resources in R&D to make this kind of phone?
4. priviledge. YES. in some third world country, having an apple devices is considered as higher class status. if you want to people to respect you, then use apple as your daily driver. that's what apple tax does to you.
if you want to compare iphone with any android phone, you're wrong. you can only compare apple iphone with google pixel. and still, google pixel is in the same pricing range as apple iphone right? probably not on your country. but for some country?

ya I heard the old iphone battery sucks, my 2018 Samsung Galaxy J7 Crown occasionally got 3, or even with an extreme stroke of luck 4 days of battery (i keep medium power save on at all times)
