All Xiaomi phones which have same price as this phone, have way above specs than this phone. And all the other android manufacturers.
I mentioned xiaomi as I use one(sd855). Which was €320 last year. Still way better than this old style iphone. Just don't have ip rating and ois. I don't have to tell what I get instead of them

If the price was 300$ it would be perfect for too many peoples because, there are too many android phones at the same price with more specs and features 👌

Apple has just posted official teaser of se2. Internals/features are just as we already know. Screen 4.7", A-13 bionic, camera 12 and 7 MP, price $399

Superior screen? Normies can't tell.
Larger battery? Normies don't care.
Modern design? Normies love retro style.
Sufficient for daily use cpu power? Normies absolutely NEED top-of-the-line cpu to browse web and watch videos.
As for software support, I'm currently using OP3 without update for more than 1 year and it still feels snappy. However, I've seen laggy Iphone 6s, so what's the point?
Don't get me wrong, this is a great product with a big market. It's just that your statements are very flawed.

I'm no Apple fan and I've used only last-years Android flagships because I can buy them twice as cheap, but man. This is a great phone for that price. Sure, the screen is pretty small and the bezels are pretty big, but that's the point of the phone, to be rather small. But what kind of Android phone can you get at 400$ with this kind of performance and camera quality? This phone has the same camera as the 11 Pro, sure you don't get ultra-wide nor tele cameras, but the primary camera is the same.
At 400$, almost no Android phone has stereo speakers, IP67 and this kind of build quality (I'm so tired of plastic phones).
The Pixel 3A has similar camera quality, but that's it. It's got no IP rating, a plastic case, a mono speaker.
