That should have been totally clear. My entire point was that IF the rumours are correct and the size of the Pixel 4a will be around 144mm, then it will be a compact phone in todays standards, but still noticably bigger than the SE 2020 (IF it will look like the iPhone 8). Of course, only the true reveals by the manufacturers will bring total clarity about the real size of the two phones.
As of now, there is no way of predicting the battery life of the Pixel 4a simply because it is not out yet. Your calculations might be correct, though, as much as they might be incorrect. Saying "it will be like this" before the phones have even been announced is just something that no one can say with absolute certainty.

I had a few in the past and each of them lost approximately 20% of battery capacity per year. Do you need system support for device with dead battery? I don't think so. 1-st Apple should change power capacity in their stuff.

HTe useless tall screen, the blurry wide angle camera, mo nothing of that, the smaller battery is the only thing that I would miss from the new big phones, but bot the weight, 220g the new s20 ultra - no thanks, at any price.

Of course it i... moreNot really claiming the 4a will have exactly an endurance rating of 77h, not at all, if I were it would sound like there will exactly be 6mm between the 4a and the SE2, such a claim seems to me like those fake iphones that are sold before the official one comes out and you only realize they are shamelessly different to the actual legit product once you get to compare them. In contrast someone could come up with a whole different approach to estimate battery life for the 4a, I would be very much interested in learning what was done.

Everything on this phone is very very outdated (design, battery, size, screen, ppi, camera, front camera, bezzels) except the chipset, but you don't buy a phone just for the chipset. So they're just charging 400 bucks for a 2012 phone. I assume their sheep will be very happy to buy this.

You do get a high end processor in their "cheap" phone but the phone will still not be best for gaming due to screen and battery.

On the pixel 4a, we can take mi 9T (same chipset) for a coarse comparison, this phone has the following, 4000maH, endurance rating of 100h and an efficient amoled screen of 6,4", if we can assume this screen will take about the same power as the 5.8" LCD of the 4a then:
4a endurance rating estimate based on battery capacity ratio = (3080/4000)*100h = 77h
4a battery capacity is 3080 maH.
This is highly speculative but it seems pretty clear that the 4a will not reach 100h, in fact nowhere near that, if it turns out to be close to 77h then it will belong in the same hall of shame as the galaxy S9 is and the SE 2020 I expect won't be far off.

4.7" for me is a perfect size of a phone which is the original size of the phone.. I've got 5.5 and its not comfortable for me..

I can't believe it. Apple wins again. I thought they were done and literally stopped caring about their products. After all the trouble with removing headphone jack and introducing ugly notches, they will be back to the old fame. Why? Just because of this phone. Like it or not, Apple is still the brand that dictates the phone game. Comparison to the S10e is just laughable considering awful Exynos chipset that's on the global version. Battery drainage, temperature problems, heavy throttling, inferior graphics compared to the Snapdragon variant. Apple doesn't do that, you get A13 regardless of where you're buying the phone, the most modern chipset that even the iPhone 11 Pro Max has - the most premium iPhone to date. You have the raw power of the most expensive iPhone in the least expensive iPhone. People in the comment section don't realize that majority of people don't care about multiple cameras and huge 120Hz 4k super giga mega dynamic amoled displays that covers the whole front side of the phone. It's just something that's thrown onto them since there usually isn't any alternative. This phone will prove it. It's funny how all these negative comments about this phone are about its design, whilst that's actually the whole point of it. And please, don't compare it to Pixel 4a too because it surely won't have the Snapdragon 865, not even 855. And of course, just 2 major Android updates. With iPhone you'll get the initial iOS plus usually 5 more which means it'll be relevant for at least half a decade in terms of modern, polished software. Well played Apple.

You JUST SAID it has the body of the iPhone 8, which has an approximate length of 138mm. The Pixel4a on the other hand is rumoured to have 144mm. No crystal ball, just saying what the reports claim. Why do you think something so easily researchable comes from a crystal ball?
For the battery life YOU on the other hand just claimed it will be bad, without even showing evidence or numbers. You might be right on the SE part, although this design has been used by Apple for years and has always been enough to a lot of people. Also, the A13 Bionic chip is more efficient than the older ones. I can't comment on the LCD screen, but the battery life of the iPhone 11 is pretty good, despite its LCD screen.
On to the Pixel4a. How do you know it's battery life will be bad? There is literally no implication on the battery life other than its size. That might be a hint, but nothing more. We don't know anything about it other than that, so YOU are probably the one with a crystal ball.
Also, 6mm does not seem to be a lot on paper, but, as I already said, it will certainly be noticable.

... more6mm would be very little difference but how did you determine the dimensions? a crystal ball maybe? certainly not listed on here.
As for battery is pretty obvious, this SE is likely going to use the body of the iphone 8 which had an endurance rating of 66h, it will use the same inefficient LCD display, how much could improve? Say 78h like the poor battery life galaxy s9?
