Now if you play games, it depends if it is more graphic intensive. Now you said you don't game much, which is great for the battery. If you play light-games (Hearthstone) non-stop (normal people do not), you'll get through half the day. If the games are heavier (Call of Duty), you'll get through a quarter of your day.

Hi guys.i always used samsung but i heard about this phone and i like it because its a small phone.i dont play games i usually use the phone only for calls,chat social media and exploring in internet.maybe i play 1 game.do you think can i spend a day with the battery.this is my preoccupation.thank you.

lol gsmarena top 1 compact phone as there is no other compact phones in the market then of curse it's top 1. It can be top 1 as a best camera for compact phones and top 1 for ram on compact phones and top 1 for storage for comapct phone and all that for this year if there is 0 compact phones competition to it. There is not a single phone of year 2019 to 2020 that is under 140mm tall that run by latest android and middle class hardware like sd6xx 7xx
There are quad core 1.4GHz 3 inch screen phones that have like android 6-8 op systems like melrose and the like

this phone is so good but it got three downsides which are :
1-the battery
no doubt the battery won't last the entire day
2- the screen
the bezels are just too big
3- the design
this design is 6 yrs old and its not the best design , imo the best design was the iPhone X's design
otherwise its perfect and its highly recommended for those who can live with all what I mentioned :)

Th... moreThe S8 is old tech and the current price only reflects that, certainly it doesn't have the benefit of computational photography modern phones have and also you can't have android 10 on it. the headphone jack is something that not everyone uses and since it has been removed from many phones I would guess that it's not that widely used feature. Generally you get pretty ordinary audio quality from most phones.
S8 is a good phone that has no future, no further support at all next year, yes if it does what you need it's fine but soon you will run into obsolescence issues.

Lastly, I can agree with you on the lack of a headphone jack sucking.
