Battery size is concerning. Still no 3.5mm earphone jack. Just one camera. No macro nor wide angle lens. I see no bargain here...unless you want the a13 chip.

I paid for brand new, 80 euros for that phone, and works ok, it takes good pictures, battery (3k) holds 2-3 days with 5-6 SoT, yes it's bigger (a little) than SE, but is not that much wider. Also, only one gram heavier than SE, but with 1179 more mah. It's based on the most popular (above 80%) mobile os in the world, and about security, feature is, there is removable back cover, so we can always remove battery if we suspect that someone trackin us, haha. Only cons is no 5g support on that 80 euros phone, but i guess, this one (above 500€ here in eu), have 5g support, right?

The A13 is what is making the headlines but there is more to this phone than that:

-wireless charging

-Advanced image processing algorithms.
-high end build quality along with light weight and size.
-Unique operating system and ecosystem.
-better sensitive data security

Reusing the iPhone 8 case for this is not really an innovation.
When I was buying the last iphone I chose Iphone SE, and not Iphone 8 - but now things are merged. What a joke....

So, it is possible to have a good cheap Android phone too.
Thus being said, I think this iphone SE will sell like crazy, not because it is good (apart from the chipset), but because it is Apple.

This phone is for people that want a quality, small, light and fast device, the device is intended to be used as a *phone*.
If you need a multimedia device for games, movies and such, and you are willing to carry around 200g or more comically sized device then you have the max from apple and a endless number of android devices that will meet your needs, DO NOT get this.

The only alternative for me is Sharp Aquos R2 Compact, but it is very hard to get it from Japan.

This phone would be good for people who(only) love small Phones or the people who want a good small display for a change. I don't think it's a parts bin phone or anything. I think it's a really fresh to see apple launching a compact, small phone amidst all those 6.5" behemoths. And to all those folks who think battery life would be horrendous on this phone, tell me don't you charge your phone at night anyways even if the battery is still at 40%? Come on, think about it, if Apple is launching an aggressively priced smartphone to bash all 'Value for money' androids at that price point, won't they think about the battery life? Sure they could've improved on the front but if you use moderately to heavily, I think this phone would still give you pretty good battery life.

Everyone is comparing on how to battery is too small. If they made the battery ~2500mah, the phone would be thicker and Apple would have to completely redesign the chassis and every part in it. That's probably why the battery size is what it is. This is just my opinion and I could be wrong...

The XR in 2019 was the top seller phone in the world, YES, not samsung, not xiaomi, not any other supposedly "unbeatable deals" out there.
Do you know any other company that uses it's own exclusive operating system just for their own hardware, that has it's own exclusive highly successful ecosystem, that designs their own chipsets and phones?
