Only buying because of IOS for the next 5+ years. About $80 a year. I had my mini Ipad since Dec 2012 and it's still working and I did not buy any apps or add on. I use my Samsung S2 for music, radio, sms and phone calls as it's still running and screen is good.

There is still an audience for small phones. This is not a phone for gaming, not a phone for view movies, it's a phone to be used as a phone. May be battery could be an issue but now you have 18W fast charging and Qi wireless charging.

I had expected this phone since last year with atleast 2500mAH battery. Now, totally disappointed and forever I'm not going to dream anymore about apple products. Good bye..

Here in Europe pre-orders for this started popping up at ~500€.
That's ~540$ which is ~35% more. F that.

I was interested in this phone purely on the point it's rocking the A13 chip. But the low res 700p display and 1821mAh battery just turn me off. The display I can work with, but that battery.... I do wish they would of left some room for battery degradation, it's just battery chemistry batteries degrade relatively quickly I might add. I would expect this phone to get a good year out of before I would need to upgrade again. I remember this with the iPhone 6 which had a similar battery capacity. I got a year out of it and then I had battery issues. The battery wasn't able to produce enough wattage and the phone would crash or at around the 10% mark you would have full phone shutdown and it needed to be charged. So If it was a bigger battery just to leave room for natural degradation to maybe get the phone to last 2 years I'd be in, 2500 mAh and I would of been sold. But that's just me and my experience with batteries that leave no room for degradation, which will happen because that's how batteries work.
