JeyEme, 12 Apr 2024I wonder why Apple insist to produce this phone Because they get a huge margin over it probably

nooneinpart, 25 Apr 2024Interesting, my screen looks too blue with True Tone disabl... moreThanks, interesting! I compared the screen against my 1st Gen SE by putting both phones side-by-side on the settings menu, with white theme enabled. The 1st Gen actually looks slightly more yellow like this, whereas the 3rd Gen has a very noticeable 'reddish' hue. The weird thing is, when I return to the homescreen, the 1st Gen SE looks far more natural and clearer (it doesn't look yellow hardly at all) whereas the 3rd Gen has a very noticeable yellow/reddish tint to the colours. The 1st Gen feels easier to look at and less straining on the eyes.

I'll see if I can find another 3rd Gen in the store to compare it to.

Checking in after 2 years, this device is pretty solid. 64GB is too low for base storage, I wouldn't really recommend it at MSRP even if it has class-leading performance. Get it with a carrier deal, then it's a really good phone. Battery life is pretty good considering the size, I can get 8 hours of screen time at home at 86% health, but it drops to almost half of that outside on mobile data and full brightness. I suspect the LCD screen quickly loses efficiency at high brightness. No performance or overheating issues on iOS 17.4.1.

P650SE, 22 Apr 2024Also, I notice the screen on my SE3 has a yellow/reddish hu... moreInteresting, my screen looks too blue with True Tone disabled. I'd suggest comparing it to other iPhones if you can find someone with another iPhone or a live display model in a store, it sounds a bit like a bad screen. Or maybe the color temperature of your 1st gen SE is very, very cold and you've simply gotten used to that.

JeyEme, 12 Apr 2024I wonder why Apple insist to produce this phone public still love older design for iPhone. Maybe these type of people still one of Apple's best market out there. And Apple didn't bother to produce it again and again but in limited quantity

Also, I notice the screen on my SE3 has a yellow/reddish hue to the colours. Even with True Tone turned off, the colours still appear skewed towards yellow. I tried to counter it by applying a blue "colour tint" in the accessibility menu (since blue is the opposite of yellow), but even on the lowest setting, it isn't possible to balance it in a way that looks correct (the colour tone on the 1st Gen SE always looks clearer, more natural)

I purchased this phone new a week ago. The one major issue I have noticed personally, is that the display has quite poor response times, in particular when using dark mode, scrolling white text on a dark background results in smearing and ghosting trails being visible with the motion of the screen.

I like everything else about this device, the small size, performance of A15, Touch ID, no PWM, no notch/punchhole. But the issue of this ghosting trails/smearing in dark mode is very distracting for me (notably worse in comparison to the OG SE 1st Gen) and a large reason I am already considering selling this device :(

I wonder why Apple insist to produce this phone

                    Love this phone.

IQ200, 28 Mar 2024I think Nokia 8 is the best phone ever. Jk lol. Too bad we ... moreBecause the market is full of alternatives, and the Nokia 8 has comparable camera hardware with a higher resolution display etc. It's available at a fraction of the price of this, and nearly better in every aspect. It's a compelling option to those who love this design and dimensions, and not many people take their phone underwater.

There isn't anything to justify this phone, and being interested in iOS devices only, isn't an excuse to purchase this over every phone available at this price in any market. Simple.

IQ200, 28 Mar 2024I think Nokia 8 is the best phone ever. Jk lol. Too bad we ... moreIn case you didn't get my context, they've made compromises in every possible feature, apart from the chipset.

If there are non-iOS devices with similar specs at much lesser, they have the right to decide and purchase something covering all bases. Stock Android is easier to get used to, if you had an iOS device earlier (unlike OneUI, ColorOS, MIUI that is). This phone, even while being 2 years old, doesn't deserve the atrocious seller price. Why? It doesn't justify it at all. Only the design is considerable, but the rest is just meh.

Liking iOS devices and using them a lifetime isn't an excuse to purchase an Apple product again, when there are unlimited options available in the market. It's not a tiny market like back in the day where people had only a handful of brands to consider. Simple.

Also, if somebody desperately needs an Apple product in their life, my suggestion to them, is to get a MacBook Pro for office use and an Android phone as a daily driver. Best of both worlds, after all.

Guy is obviuosly interested in iOS devices. So why bring an Android device like Nokia 8?

                            I don't get it.

Healthyheart, 07 Feb 2024I'm planning to buy it's phone. How's it... moreYou're better off with a Nokia 8 instead. Same camera optics, better display, similar or better camera performance, far better design, smaller bezels, louder speaker and far cheaper.

The only reason why I love this rather mediocre Apple-branded Huaqin product is none other than it's design, because I always prefer 16:9 displays to tall giraffes spamming the database daily.

Battery life is terrible using cellular 3g/4g network data, but seems acceptable on wifi. So if you sure that you can connect to wifi at work/uni/etc - buy this phone.
