Camera on SE 2022 has same quality as the 13 but lacking night mode. HDR 4 which is unique compared to iphone 8 with the old HDR. Battery is very efficient due to 5nm processor, iOS 18, extra 2GB Ram for multitasking and photograpic styles with portrait.

After 2 years of owning this phone, the battery health has seen better days, it’s now at 78% battery health, I will upgrade from this to an iPhone 15. But it generally served me well minus the battery.

I’ve only had two iPhones so far though, a 6 Plus and an 8 Plus. I haven’t really tried using the newer iPhones so I dunno if I’d miss having the home button or not.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2024Its technically an iPhone 13 mini in an iPhone 8 body-Has iPhone 8 outdated design (which is barely different from the 2015 iPhone 6)
-Has iPhone 8 terrible display (LCD, 60hz, tiny 4,7inch display, not even FHD+, the WORST screen of any 300$-500$ phone of the market by far and it's not even a comparison)
-Has iPhone 8 terrible battery (The WORST battery of any 2022-2024 phone by far)
-Has iPhone 8 terrible camera setup (12mp main camera, 7mp selfie camera and not even a ultrawide camera is the biggest joke for a 300$-500$ phone)
The only thing that shares with the iPhone 13 mini is the A15 bionic, which is easily the best chip in 300$-500$ phones, but even then, you can't do too much with that terrible screen and that terrible battery
The iPhone SE 2022 is by far, the worst value for money phone that exists right now, except for the chip, everything of this phone is way worse than any 150$ Android phone, supposedly, this phone's niche is for old people that need Touch ID, but literally any modern Android phone has fingerprint sensor (and face recognition if you need it), even in low end phones, and some of them have better fingerprint sensor than the iPhone SE 2022

I hope they keep the home button but it looks like they’re not.
I’d love a phone like my iPhone 8 Plus but with upgraded specs and 5G.
Probably not gonna happen :(

I currently use an iPhone 8 Plus (which I’m happy with for the time being) and my first iPhone was a 6 Plus that was given to me for free. I like the resolution of my screen mainly (1080x1920) which is Full HD when in landscape. If Apple makes an SE with that resolution and they keep the home button I’d be keen to buy it. Are they going to make any more SE’s, anyone know?

I've been using this phone for last 5 months. It's been very impressive. Not a great camera / video phone, but functional. Internet is zippy enough. Battery lasts 2 days. Hardly any battery drain on standby, fingerprint reader works great. Sound quality is great. GPS works better than my Samsung s23. The only grudge I have is that mobile myki (travel card) doesn't work on iPhone. I don't add too many apps because there aren't as many free apps compared to google play store, which I find a positive factor. I can avoid spending too much time playing games on my mobile.

For the first time after a long time I have used Android, I finally switched to this iPhone. It is very comfortable to use with one hand and the performance is very good. The small battery usage is not a problem for me because it supports QC. Previously I used Asus ROG 5 (the phone is still working well and I still use it as a backup phone)
