Fans of this form factor will love this phone. It's nice to have something thin and light enough to put in your shirt pocket and wont look like it will rip a hole in it. But despite its minuscule stature compared to today's standard "phablet", it has all the power to play along with the bigger flagships. Sure battery life will be sh*t, but that's not the reason why people buy it in the first place. I am not an IOS person, but i can appreciate a small phone that gets the job done. Sure, i have big boys like the Ultra Flagships and is my main driver, but having a tiny phone when you want to carry light is such a big win with a unit of this size. If ever I do get another IOS phone in the future, it will be their line of 4.7" inchers. Just lovin' it!

That's my point, exactly! There are so many options for everyone. Why shouldn't there be an option for people who like this type of phone? Why does it bother some people that there are more options they don't agree with?
I never complained about the big screen, big battery phones; I only complained there were no small good phones. Now there is.. one! And people go mad about it. Why? :))
In the last (at least) 3 years, if you Googled 'best 5 inch phone' there were 2-3 viable options, and even those were so-so, not comparable with the flagships, but the market was flooded with over 6 inch displays, 200 gram phones, with huge brick batteries. Why??? Why not more options?
You also say - 'people look for everything in their mid-range phone because they can't splurge on an expensive PC. I like that phones are used for more purposes'
I like it, too, that people have more options. But, this is exactly what I'm trying to say, and why you don't get my point. This phone is just another option.. very different from the herd. 99,99% of the phones have no bezels, over 95% screen/body ratio, between 4000 and 5000 mah batteries... they all look as if that's the only allowed thing to do when you manufacture a phone. And then there comes this lil thing, almost like teleported from 2018, but is capable to do what the new top of the line phones can do, and ppl lose their mind. Why? :))) Because it's not like the rest?
So, diversity is so hated nowadays, that everything that's not in line with the sheeple must disappear? Hmm... :)

Thank you, but I hate face-id as much as I love touch-id. Also, this SE costs almost half of 13 mini. I can live without oled, dual camera, and 1-2 more hours of screen online.
I've been waiting for a phone exactly like this for at least 3 years, and seeing the hate it receives makes me even happier. :)
In a world full of bigger and bigger phones, Apple had the balls to make a decision like this. Kudos! That's a pimp move, fo sho!
As I said - haters gon' hate! Keep it up! We live in a unanimity dictatorship anyway... You can't say anything outside the box.. can't have something unusual, can't like or express yourself in a different way, can't be or act how you feel. This hate for diversity went so far that it made ppl complain for a product that's just not how they like it to be. Jeezzzz! :))) Gotta love 2022...

If you don't like it,don't buy it!!As simple as that..There are many people out there who still needs a smaller smartphone with a spice of decent cameras,better battery and sleekness..Nobody forbids you to purchase a phone of your choice.. therefore stop complaining!

Why downgrade when you have better options? The processor is the only saving grace for this phone. They should've rebadged the iPhone XR and not the iPhone SE, that would've solved the design. Rest all they needed to do is bring parity to normal mid-range phones in batteries. And my friend, most people look for everything in their mid-range phone because they can't splurge on an expensive PC. I like that phones are used for more purposes. Don't get your point really.

You know why I don't understand the complains? Because this phone isn't supposed to be a 10 hours screen online gaming phone, due to low battery and small screen. So then, why are ppl complaining as if ALL! the phones that launch nowadays must be used as a mini-tablet? Can't a phone be used as daily routine all around social media/communication device?
There are 500 phones for gamers and ppl who want 6.7 inch display and 5000 mah battery, and if there's finally one phone with 4.7 inch display and a battery that offers 4 hours of screen online, all the gamers are crying a cyber lullaby.
I wait for a phone like this for about 3 years... A good all around phone, with a display under (or around) 5 inch, super fast, with touch-id, that can get at least 5 years of updates. And now, when it freakin' finally launches, all the whiners pick on things as if they don't have tens and hundreds of other options.
I usually say to each his own, but because since the launch the entire YouTube and all the forums are full of crybabies, I really am glad this SE is a thorn in their side. Haters gon' hate!

I see the new chip as a downgrade since it has 5G combined with battery almost similar to a PS5 controller. I don't see how is this phone better than SE 2020 and why it is called an upgrade in the first place
