People used to think that ten cores were for power...
They weren't...
They were there for stability.
Despite rumors, have you ever seen a Helio X20 with CPU throttling (in reality or on video)?
I test it and run the ten cores during 10minutes with only 6% performances drop (Vernee Apollo lite)...
With the same 20nm process from tsmc, SD810 can't carry 8 cores during 2 minutes. Even some quadcores aren't that stable.
Instead of increasing number of cores, Apple (and Samsung) increases Instructions Per Cycle, it's the same : calculate instructions in parellele when it's possible (not that often)...that doesn't work better...singlecore benchmarks grow, not speed of device.
Agree about QHD screens...but not fullhd! If on pictures and videos, it's difficult to see differences between 300dpi and 400dpi, on texts (webbrowsing), difference is clear.
Problem of XR isn't the HD screen it's HD screen for 850€. In Shenzhen, you can find fullhd 400dpi screens on devices that cost less than 100€!

So, first of all, I am an apple user since last year (8+).
A bit of history:
- Samsung Galaxy S
- Samsung Note 4
- LG G4
- Blackberry Passport
- Huawei Mate 8
- Iphone 8+
Conclusion:
My favourite by far was the square Blackberry Passport! Second on the list was the Mate8 and third is the 8+.
Why?
1. BB had an amazing feeling of quality, and the combination between physical keyboard, trackpad-like keyboard area, great battery life, and style is still unbeatable. Even if it's a defunct OS, I will get one for a good price just because of the security and simplicity of the OS.
2. Huawei was the best Android phone I owned, regular updates, unparalleled smoothness for android, amazing battery life, stayed really cool under heavy loads! and yes, it was a 1080p 6 inch device! Had no problem with that, even small text was crisp.
3. I bought the 8+ because i accidentally dropped the Mate8 and broke the screen (the replacement screen was taking 2-3 weeks...). So i purchased the 8+ 256GB for 950€. Yes it's expensive, but not more expensive than android phones with the same capacity. So far it works well, just as expected. Fast, smooth, good battery life. There is no wow factor about it, it's just very reliable and feels good in hand (pretty big hands here).
some key facts for all the blind people: specs are just numbers! just as these features from ios are just marketing, it's the same thing for android! specs on android phones are pure marketing. What's the point of having 10 or more cores if they will never be able to work under sustained load for long? Or why praising a 4k screen on a 6 inch device? Have you seen a 4k TV? Yes, the same f*****g resolution some of you have in the pocket. How does this help you? do you think there is a difference between a 1080p and 4k in 6 inches screens? maybe if you look with a magnifier, but that defeats the purpose of watching a video on your phone. etc.
I could write a lot more on this topic but the point is: myself, as a lot more users, didnt buy the iphone for status, I graduated high school more than 12 years ago. So, whenever I buy something it must work as expected. And with the 8+ i get 5 years or more SW updates, which is not applicable for Android. SW development is expensive, it just doesnt drops out of the sky.
So all of you trolls complaining that it is expensive and so on, go buy your 300€ phones and change them every year. I dont care what phone you are using. You are TOXIC people! most of the comments here are not constructive, as it should be in a civilized discussion. I assume most of you are just kids, bragging about your 12492304823423454 cores and 123423 TB RAM you have in your pocket.
Let me put it this way: I dont give a damn about what you have in your pants! Yes you heard me well, i dont care what you have in your pockets and I dont care about your junk either! SO, IF YOU MAKE A D***K MEASURING CONTEST OUT OF EVERYTHING, GO TO A DEDICATED FORUM FOR THIS!
I dont usually do this, but these trolls need to face the facts. I kinda trolled the trolls now ;)

Everyonw are grusging on the low PPI screen, in fact it is 828p,not 720p, a 108 more pixels squeezed into the display, this is because the screen size increased to about the size of 5", but all screen display with aspect ratio of 19.5 :9 makes the screen goes to 6.1", but remain the PPI of 326, which still cannot discern the individual pixels. This is just like the Android implementation of 1080p and 2k screen, 1080p screen is actually much more than enough, even up to 7" screen, still remain 323PPI and won't able to discern single pixels. 2K actually are overkill on an smartphone screen.

very good work from apple, there are people who don't care about the display. and to be honest 326ppi in a 6.1 in display is going to be very good.

On the display, this is a step backwards from the iPhone 7 Plus, which has a 1080p display. This phone is roughly 720p quality. Also, no force touch like the iPhone 6S, 7, and 8 and just a single camera with 5X zoom and no telephoto lens like the iPhone 7 Plus with 10X digital zoom and 2X optical zoom, same amount of grain as 5X without the telephoto lens. If you want the X technology, you are better off buying the more expensive iPhone XS Max or buy the iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 8 Plus for a lot less money. At least the iPhone 7 and 8 Plus have a 1080p display, the 8 Plus is an improved display over the 7 Plus. The only Android I would consider is the next Pixel since it gets all Android updates as soon as they are available like the iPhone receiving IOS updates when they are released.

The above post is the reason why evolution has degraded and deteriorated over time and led to mass infliction for simpler/simplicity and apple becoming a trillion $ inc.
Earlier/usual tendency was to know whatever we don't for better/clear understanding and implementing our thoughts in/through it. It led to all the discoveries we are enjoying in every part of our lives.
For some it's a matter of awareness/update, rest ranges from nerds, geeks, thirst for knowledge, showoff etc.
But sadly, now the lazy race is too comfortable and uses the excuse of being "average" although they know their own sh**t pretty good but nothing else as it doesn't concern their field of expertise/interest/enthusiasm.
That's no way to say u r avg when you are doing well enough to afford an iphone, let aside the fact that you got grey matters of human over animals.
It's the same scenario as these crazy theories like flat earth and all, coz that sh**t is easy and not much technicality gets in the way for perception or explanation.
Imagine the human evolution chosing easy, comfortable and "idk/IDGAF cuz im average" attitude since inception and where would have we been today?
Seeing the plague of self classified average person generalization these days as an excuse of being lazy to work your brain(easier to motivate ppl to workout) and understand what's what(comparing moto z vs ip x price, r u a toddler who needs to be enlightened about quality vs money? ) before recommending/spreading something that in time might pickup like a snowball rolling and all those simple mindeds being allured by the "giant snowball" that does nothing but only rolls for long!
Btw you are so simple minded that you decide for a M400W for 600$ over T1600W for 300 but couldn't 'Google' for other reputed brands offering more/better for less/same $$.
Same for your phone, all it would have taken was to lookup the device offering best features you need..and you chose ip xr which isn't bad but could have saved you lots of $$$ for the simple device you need!
Strange that an avg, not a "phone guy" ends up in GSMA comments justifying apple logic!
Or is it the apple ego that you guys refrain from Google??thus the lack of knowledge!! people usually google stuff they come accross. You can also use 'safari' ;P just in case.
No wonder mankind gonna make a full circle and go back to right where it started very soon coz a reboot is required to wash off all the laze!

iPhone XR priced at $750 is a pure rip off and depressing ,the 64GB should have been priced at $600 and called it just “iPhone 9”.This been an “S” year for apple its the best time to buy iPhone x which is faster than all 2018 android flagship phones.The big difference btw XS and X is a15% chip improvement only.You can get iPhone X below $750 .
