After the iOS 16.1.1 came out, this phone became even better in terms of both speed and battery life

I just bought this phone for $300 CAD on the used market in 256GB and good condition to replace my beloved iPhone X that I have had since 2017 until last month, left on a bus seat somehow and I never saw it again. I had no complaints about the X even though 2016 and 2017 iPhones (loss of the headphone jack and introduction of “the notch”) has pissed a lot of people off. Anywho I can say after using the XS for 3 weeks, the phone is basically the X, same screen, same design but it’s noticeably faster, the camera is indeed better especially when it comes to dynamic range. I have heard the XS has poor battery life. When I got the phone I installed a fresh battery myself and easily get an entire day browsing Reddit, playing games and running the latest iOS 16.1 animations are smooth and the phone’s performance leaves nothing to desire, especially at a $330 price point (battery included) probably the best money I’ve ever spent. For a couple hundred dollars more you can find an 11 pro. It has a pretty serious camera upgrade, especially with low light, an even better battery life and a slightly brighter display (outdoors) but at our current software release doesn’t perform that much better. IMO if you are on a budget and want a great phone with great performance and decent cameras, and you can figure out how to install a fresh battery in an iPhone, the XS is by far the best value iPhone to date

When iOS 16 came out
My xs Screen became totally glitchy n Screen was unresponsive
Is it still going to be like that or is it safe to update now?

Back in the day, I thought it was naughty to release a phone that is so similar to the X at the same $999 price. Nowadays I think it is one of the best iPhone Form factors ever, and one of the prettiest iPhones ever at the same time. Additionally, the upgrades were not as minor as I may have thought, seeing how the A12 gets so many more new features than the A11 phones, not to mention that 4GB RAM was a good upgrade for the future compared to the 3GB on the X.
The 11 Pro was a bigger upgrade for sure, however I don’t like the matte back design quite as much in terms of looks (maybe it feels better I don’t know) and it is bigger and heavier which makes the handling a bit worse, though that made the battery much more useable.
