      I’m using an iphone 6s with 64% battery health. Had to buy a powerbank to take along when travelling 😅

              Being using my xs max since December 2021 with no issues until it suddenly died with 66percent battery about 2 weeks ago . I took it the repair shop and they got it done but not perfectly, it came back on but keeps turning off itself every 3 minutes or so , the phone engineer changed the charging flex and it still didn’t solve this issue . He has tried every possible thing including upgrading the iOS , changing the phone body . It keeps turning off turning off still after everything, what could be the issue please? Help

It was 84 or 85% not too long ago (maybe a few months or so) before I started fast charging with my new Apple 20W USB‑C Power Adapter. It’s been on 81% for quite a while now, maybe a couple of months.

                      88% after 4 years is pretty good. You weren’t using the phone that much though were you? You said secondary phone so I assume that you weren’t using it every day. Which phone are you using as your daily driver?

                      1A slow charging may or may not be better for the battery health but I find it too slow after using the Apple 20W charger. I don’t really like waiting hours for my phone to charge.

                        And my experience is the same when i switched to fast charger the battery health dropped rapidly but after that it is stable and no drop till one month and i can't say whether it's because of quick charger or with too many ios updates ( 3 updates in a month).
                        I'm using brand new xs max since 2021 as a secondary phone and was charging with 5w and battery health dropped down to 88% in 4 years now switched to fast charger and it dropped just 2% in 4 months.

I think it’s maybe also best to avoid using the phone while charging because certain things will heat the phone up and when you’re charging at the same time it’ll get extra hot which isn’t great for anything.

                          What are your thoughts on the battery health going down faster from fast charging versus slow charging? I feel like it does go down somewhat faster but mainly or only in the early days of starting it sort of thing.

One for me and one for my mum. We’ve both had iPhone 8 Plus’s since 2021. These 20W chargers charge our phones way faster than the standard 5W chargers that came with the phones.

                              I could be wrong but I think that the battery health goes down somewhat faster from fast charging. At least in the beginning/early days.

Amazed me with quick charge, my phone does take approximately 1.4 hours to charge fully and provide excellent battery backup

I have been using Anker 30W original charger, the phone will only draw in the power it needs. Just protect phone against heat and it will be fine. Battery health regardless of how you charge will deteriorate over time, I suggest changing your battery every 1.5-2.5 years depending on your usage. I have used and still use XS Max for 4 years now. Changed battery 2 times to get long life. Good quality batteries are easily available and cheap for XS max

                                        If i want to use 20w charger for xs max, does it effect the battery health. I am a n android user have a habit of quick charge . 20w is quick for my xs max. Need an experienced advice
