This phone as all Apple phones is highly overrated, very small battery for such a large screen no optimization can face that. Also the screen ratio of 19.5:9 is a joke, the phone looks like a tv control no wider than a 5.5 inch 16:9 phone, with an ugly notch, no microsd slot, no infrared, for apple fanboys only!

But what I‘m more interested to know is how you can know that the camera of a yet unreleased phone is definitely better than that of the Xs Max, even more so if we know that the Xs (yeah, the cheaper standard-sized Xs again takes the same pictures at $999, and if you don‘t need optical zoom, the iPhone XR for $ 749 once again takes the same photos) has better low light capabilities than the P20 Pro?

There's no need to buy new devices every time because of their bloated prices at launch. It is always preferred to go for the previous flagship as their prices has already fallen enough to justify their features budget-wise. Plus the X has better antenna than the new Xs and Xs Max, it can still be fixed due by a firmware update but FCC needs to approve the possible amendments.

For those wondering what to get, Xs or Xs Max (i ordered both, both 256GB) its quite simple, the Max is NOT too big if you like big screens, i think most will find its reasonable sized, and in any case you cant reach the top even on the Xs with singla hand use.
Personally i prefer the plain Xs over the Max but both are too big to carry in trouser front pockets for an active lifestyle, and the Max can double as a paddle if you enjoy kayaking.
I was negative to the Max but its not as bad as expected. Remember to activate "Reachability" under General - Accessibility, then just swipe down at the bottom of the display to bring he top within reach, its super fast to use when you get used to it, i also use that setting on my X and regular Xs.
And that remind me, its a good idea to go for a used X, its still an awesome fast phone with good battery and the 256GB versions can be found in good condition for less than the official price of the 64GB Xr, and i dont think anyone is in doubt that last years X is a lot better than Xr. I have taken advantage of some upgraders wanting to sell their X fast so i bought two iphone X yesterday, 64 and 256GB, but these somewhat good deals on X isnt going to last long so act fast if you want a premium flagship at upper midrange prices.
