Apple takes another lens supplier on board for its iPhone 13 lineup
While there won't be any significant camera upgrades to this year's iPhones, according to Ming-Chi Kuo (though other analysts disagree), Apple is trying to secure another lens supplier for its upcoming iPhone 13 lineup.

Sunny Optical will most likely join Largan, Yujingguang and Kantatsu, which in turn supply the lenses to LG Innotek for assembly. Sunny Optical will be appointed to the 7P main lens.
Recent rumors suggest that the ultrawide camera will receive an update with a better 6P lens, bigger aperture - f/1.8 and autofocus. The report doesn't say whether Sunny Optical will deliver the new lenses or it will stick to the 7P units on the main shooter.

Isn't it fun to buy a phone and not knowing where the components come from due to them coming from multiple sources?
