Apple's M4 MacBook Pro display has quantum dots for the first time
Apple launched the new MacBook Pro with M4 chips at the end of last month, and it looks like these have a previously not spoken about upgrade.
According to Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the new MacBook Pro has a quantum dot screen. The quantum dot film replaces the red KSF phosphor film used in previous models.
Big Apple display news, they have adopted quantum dots for the first time. The latest MacBook Pro's (M4) use a quantum dot (QD) film rather than a red KSF phosphor film.

In the past, Apple went with the KSF solution due to better efficiency and lack of cadmium (Cd), but the… pic.twitter.com/5olq9lEHs9
The QD film delivers better color gamut and better motion performance compared to the red KSF phosphor film, and is now cadmium-free too. It didn't use to be, and that apparently is the reason why Apple has stuck with the KSF solution until now.
This improvement applies to all new MacBook Pros, with or without nano texture. Keep in mind that the new laptops still have LCD screens, and this QD film won't make them perform as well as QD-OLED displays do, but it is a small step forward nevertheless.

As per regulatory where i.e.eurozone, which specifies that to be called a Quantum LED it must absolutely re-create the visual outside the screen, Hypotheticaly like a Lithography in film production and 3D printing. Now a screen can be brighter on sur...

Moreover, as my experience shows if using OLED at 80-100% brightness it literally DIES. Had to replace display on my 11 Pro, fun fact is that new display seems to be better than the old one
