Apple's new Adaptive Audio will supercharge your AirPods Pro 2

This fall Apple will update the AirPods Pro 2 with a trio of outstanding new features: Adaptive Audio, Personalized Volume, and Conversation Awareness.

Adaptive Audio is a listening mode that dynamically blends Transparency mode and Active Noise Cancellation based on the conditions of your environment. It automatically switches between modes for the best experience at the moment.

Personalized Volume uses machine learning to understand environmental conditions and listening preferences over time in order to fine-tune the media experience automatically.

Conversation Awareness will lower the music volume and enhance the voices in front of you while reducing background noise as soon as you start speaking.

One, all, or some combination of these features are already available on competing products, but it's nice to see Apple updating their existing earbuds with such significant new features - at the point when the update will go out, they will be around one year old.

Updates to Automatic Switching will mean that the connection time between your Apple devices will be significantly faster and more reliable, thus making the process of moving from listening on one device to another even more seamless.

Finally, coming to the older first-gen AirPods Pro too, as well as the AirPods 3 and AirPods Max, is a new Mute or Unmute feature, which allows you to press the stem (or Digital Crown on AirPods Max) to mute or unmute yourself during calls.
