Apple's watchOS 10 to bring major UI changes and improvements
A report about Apple's plans for major watchOS 10 improvements surfaced about a month ago, but without elaborating any further. New information, however, reveals a bit more about Apple Watch's future software and what to expect during this year's Apple WWDC.
According to Bloomberg, Apple will bring back the widgets and make them a centerpiece feature of watchOS 10. Users will be able to browse through interactive and contextual widgets. The new interface will likely resemble Siri's watch face and widget stacks introduced in iOS and iPadOS. The report also suggests that the Digital Crown will be used to open widgets instead of sending you to the home screen.
Additionally, the company is rumored to be working on a new AI-powered health coaching service called Quartz. So we will likely see some deep integration with Quartz too.
This is going to be the biggest watchOS release since its inception, so watchOS 10 will likely steal the spotlight at this year's WWDC. Or maybe the mixed-reality headset will be the star of the show? We would have to wait until WWDC 2023.
