Think 10 times before buy Asus Fonepad. I faced very bad experience regarding Asus Fonepad. Two times Motherboard changed, one time battery changed, one time Touch changed. Very bad quality this Asus Fonepad. My suggestion not to purchase Asus product. Better to go Samsung or other product.

Yes..... There is a lot of problem with cheap tablet.
Mine has all the issue encountered by other ppl....
Battery draining, SD card self unmount, screen blackout, whole tablet crashed and cannot boot up.

I send it to service center twice, and no problem after that.
Been used for 10 month, no issue after that.

Been update to firmware version v3.2.9.
        Pretty much stable though.
Use this for all purpose, as a phone, as GPS, Full HD video n audio player, expand with 32GB SD card
, web browsing, as WiFi hotspot, all working well.
Only verdict is much slower than highend tablet, but faster than most similar priced low end tablet

Sent many e.mails to ASUS customer care dept.No positive response from them too. I believe that even they are ashamed of themselves for producing this piece of trash.

m using fonepade 7 of 1.6 GHz and 4.3 jelly bean but still it hangs a lot and everytime it says app. is stop working will u like to wait or abort and that's the worst part m experiencing. and the speaker ia s bit disappointing as the upper one is louder than that of the lower one and that produce uneven sound. is this common to all.

                                        Ok... make your choice clear...

For gaming oriented, performance over quality, budget tight, just buy the Levono A3000, the MTK quad core processor is just that better, smooth. Well, not that smooth on interface (slide from page to page), but smooth in apps running, especially gaming.

Reasons for choosing A3000 over Fonepad, even Fonepad 7

                                        1. Dual Sim standby, yes, Lenovo A3000 can use dual sim card, but only one will be use for 3G. Fonepad and Fonepad 7 only support 1 sim card, but not a real problem after all, since most people only use one sim. (But very useful for those who has 2 sim, in this kind of phone/tablet per budget)

                                        2. Quad core processor, the quad core processor is much more gaming friendly than the Intel Atom processor, given the Fonepad 7 into comparison, gaming at A3000 is so much smoother. Game loading is not as fast as top end tablet, but much faster than Fonepad, and comparable with Fonepad 7.

                                        3. Apps can move to Micro SD card. (Fonepad 7 can too, but Fonepad can't)

                                        4. Internal 16GB memory, which come as standard, unlike Fonepad and Fonepad 7, which has 8GB model. So, buyer beware for the cheaper pricing on Fonepad and Fonepad 7.

                                        5. Price is much cheaper than Fonepad and Fonepad 7, overall.

Well, other let down by A3000, is the build quality compare to Fonepad and Fonepad 7. Seriously, the back cover of A3000 just feel like to drop off easily. The overall feel is very very cheap, plasticity. The button is not as solid to press. Unlike original Fonepad, which is so much higher quality and solid. Fonepad 7 is also let down a bit by the plastic build. Thought, Fonepad 7 has better build quality than A3000.

The screen is lower res (1000 x 600 vs 1280 x 800), lower contrast, but consider the budget, is still acceptable. Not much different here. But overall, the screen is brighter

For much better recommendation, I would recommend the Lenovo Yoga Tab 8, offer much of the same spec as A3000, but with 8" bigger screen (1280 x 800), metal body (so much better build quality). But, the price is much higher. Only one sim.
