Just ordered for asus fonepad7 onlNe with konga.but not dat happy with all this review\opinion from users.pls I need advice before it's being delivered.thanks

I have give my Asus Fonepad7 to service center due network issue after 89mb update on 17 of September untill now I don't receive the the device from service center. I have called and email to Asus support couple but they no replaying properly. I am very much disappointed with Asus.

I bought Asus Fonepad 7 dual sim for my parents in laws. The tablet is a good one with calling facility. Touch response, speakers etc. all seemed to be a good bargain for its price (INR 12,000). But soon I found there is something wrong. It goes into 'Safe Mode' so often and doesn't comes back to 'Normal Mode' by rebooting.
I took it to the shop I had bought it from, after playing with it and searching on Google, they were able to get it back into Normal Mode. I asked them how to get it into Normal Mode if it happens again. Their answer was 'First reboot it into Safe Mode explicitly and then reboot again'.
It soon went back to 'Safe Mode' again and I was unable to get it back to Normal Mode by their suggested method. Next time when I went there, they said you need to reboot it to 'Safe Mode' explicitly twice and then restart into Normal Mode. It seemed to work for a while and I happily sent it to my parent in laws. As soon as they received it, and powered it ON, it was in Safe Mode once again. I suggested them what I had learnt works, but it didn't worked now. They finally took it to Asus service center and without trying to bring it into Normal mode carefully, the service center people simply reset it to factory settings and all the settings/apps etc. was lost. They claimed it won't come back to Safe Mode again, but that was too optimistic. It came back to safe mode the same day and they started using only limited features.
Seeing this problem recurring everytime, I would suggest this tablet is good only for geeks. Not for someone who doesn't has enough patience to work with sub-optimal conditions.

Inserted 1 sim, but supporting only 2 G, Cant use 3G network?

Today morning I got a new update ( v6.4.4 ) 92mb , I didn't apply the previous one ( v6.4.2 ) 89mb because of its problems with the network.
How about this new one ? ... Trusted or not ? Any problems found with it ?

im using asus fpad 7 not even 1 month ..i already send it to asus center for repair main board problem and battery problem the device getting hot even in sleeping mode...any suggestion to me how to take care my asus fonepad 7..TQ

Asus fonepad 7 (me175cg) user.
When i got this device, it ran 4.2 jellybean with no zen ui and i could not install the ui from playstore.
Then it auto-installed multiple updates which did the following
1. Zen ui update +
2. Added some settings update +
3. Made the device faster +
4. Added minor battery life improvement +
5. Zero network recognition for sim cards -
6. Android kitkat update +
In case you missed it, number 5 is a minus/negative. No more calls, sms or mobile data internet. What is saving my bacon is wifi.
Thank you,asus, for number 1,2,3,4 and 6. Now, i hoping the network-returning firmware that some are mentioning gets to my device. It would be welcome.

Thank you Asus. A new Android update was sent OTA a few days ago and has now remedied the problems (no calls or texts)
My Fonepad 7 ME375CG now seems _fully _functioning _again.

Thanks a lot ASUS EXPERT TEAM.24MB update resolved all my asus fonepad7 me372cg networking problem. l love my fonepad and this brand ASUS too.

this device driving me nuts! asus repair center forgot to change IMEI after restore and problem still continues with gsm networks. I'm seriously disappointed with the brand. if I had to chance buy lenovo or dell on the market, I'll never think twice from now on. -stay away from asus, acer, samsung-

I really love this fonepad7. Good battery back up. Only goes down rapidly when we browes. That usual in all mobiles. Worth to buy for this rate .
