Updated to kitkat and it works superb. Everything works fine and smooth, no lag at all.

Yesterday asus released an update of 5 mb to the kitkat upgrade and i hoped that was the fix for the mobile network problem. Not, i have no mobile network yet. However i found a temporary way to use it until asus offer an adequate fix. The problem with the network is because the the tablet loses network when it changes the mobile cell while moving. It disconnects from the distant one and cannot connect to the closer one. If you restart the tablet it connects to the new cell and again loses it when you go far from it and again restart...This is the way to use our mobile network for now with the new Kitkat. It is irritating and hope Asus make the fix as soon as possible, because it is awful to restart each 5 minutes if you are on the run. If you are home, there is no problem, because you dont change the cell. Hope this is helpful for you.

      he devise can't recognize the Mobile Network since I upgrade the Andriod OS to Kitkat 4.4.2.
      The device can't make/receive calls or SMS and of course there's no Mobile Date.

      Please advice if there's any update can fix this problem

          After upgrade to my fone pad7 dual sim 175cg contects and dialer not working please help. I also tried app clear cache but all is vain

              i love the zen iu it's cool(specialty the quick settings ) but the performance decreases in kitkat(it sames lagy) and the zen iu less functional than the 4.3 !! and where is the mini app button ?? good job and bad job asus :\ the sound is lower than before ! i think i will back to 4.3 ! it's better than 4.4 even if have an issue with wifi tethering and facebook apk (sorry for bad English )

                    Encountered phone line dead (x on phone bars) after system upgrade last night. It showed SIM card error in setting-mobile network.

                    Went to Telco and change a new SIM card this afternoon, the line is back except encounter contact has stopped. Can't call out at all.

                    Followed some advice on this postopinion , go-to setting-applications-all-contacts-clear cache,,, wow!!!! It DOSE NOT work at all,,
                    What should I do now ????

                        I updated my asus fonepad 7 to android 4.4 v6.3 in Romania. The problem is i cannot use system default contacts app and dialer, so i installed another dialer app from store wich does its job, but i still want to use system default app. Please fix it asus.

I did discover I could make a call using the new direct call widget though (a way to call one favorite contact directly via a widget). But that is not a structural solution.

                                      Try my last solution:
                                      Go to Settings> Application> All and find Contacts process on the list, one-click and clear all kind of caches. You may also stop app with the button if you wish. Now your Contacts and Telephone apps will be working properly.

                                      BTW. Facebook returns life after update:)
