now I downgrade to 4.3
You can go to http://www.asus.com/Tablets_Mobile/ASUS_Fonepad_7_FE170CG/HelpDesk_Download/
choose firmware type: Version WW_V10.32.1.22.1
download it and extract that zip file, copy to your SD card, and restart your tablet, don't press anything, wait until it show up the main screen, then it will show you: there is new update...or something i forget. You just click install, then wait around 5 mns, then you will get back 4.3 again. Enjoy.

yup thats true... lagging and unmounting sd card.. any solution for this? or how to downgrade back to android 4.3...... nid reply....

i m having d same issue,its unmounting d sd card,lag n sometyms it freezes n stays like dat fr 2-3 mins and thn shuts dwn n i hv to restart it agn..
nvr thought it cud be softwate issue,asked flipkart fr replacement,they r going to replace d tab with a new one n this tym.i.m nt goin to upgrade to KitKat!

well i got the asus fonepad 1 week ago it was working pretty good, i played mc5 on minimal graphics but after updating to kitkat, my tablet starts lagging, unmounting sd card, heating and free ram was left only 250 mb .

Hello. After reading the negative feedbacks on Kitkat update i will remain on 4.3 until Asus will resolve the issues. Hope it will be soon.

im form malaysia already update 4.4.2 2week ago nothing problem with my tab average ram380+ something play modern combat no lag just smooth and also ext card okay when use 4.3 some data not at all can trnfer to sd after update all fine

same with me. after update to kitkat i have heating problem and also my battery reduce the percentage very quickly even on very basic use of tab ... i dont know what to do coz im in iran and there is no guaranty in this country. can i downgrade to 4.3 ???

Got this tab 3 days ago. Worked great with Jellybean. Good screen and usability. Great response and without lag.
After updating to Kitkat(yesterday) the phone is lagging even
for very basic things. Using more RAM I guess. There some problem with the software. I hope Asus releases some fix for the lag.

not able to connect to internet through 3G...& Heating problem too...I want to know that there is heating problem in all models of this type or just a few unfortunate customer facing the problem...Please guys help me out if anyone has faced the same problem....pls pls pls

I also have problems with KitKat 4.4.2 Phone is too slow, lags , mounted / unmounted external MMC . In standby mode phone has 230MB of RAM free . When I 'm surfing on the Internet, has 120MB free RAM memory . the jelly bean had 480MB on standby. Yesterday I took him to the service and said I want the old the software , they are told that they have to replace the motherboard. Luckily, they have admitted guarantee. Now I'm waiting to be finished.

lube jubo, 14 Oct 2014i having problem after update kitkat 4.4.2 .. my fonepad al... moreI do have the the same problem here..updated my fonepad to kit kat yesterday and now the fonepad keeps on giving error on the mounted/unmounted external mmc..asus tek guys..please help us with this problem...when the ext mmc unmounted by itself..i lose all my notifications n ringtones setting..the fonepad will revert back the setting to stock settings..this is really annoying

phone feature is extrem good quality and one thing has to keep in min for the latest system chip design for a inetel rating ,4g has to keep in mind ,so my experience good with asus
say abt camera :going on a price segment
