Finally got a hands on of the nexus 7 yesterday.
Seriously amazing performance and 4.1JB was really smooth and amazing. Size and weight were really comfortable as compared to a 10.1 Really lovely in the hands and in the bag. 3 things i didn't like though... 1. No back camera(main) (which wasn't really important but was nice to have) 2. Due to the lack of the back camera, a lot of photo taking apps had issues and glitches. 3. Compared the nexus 7 display with 10.1 Gtab, seems like the 10.1GTab had nicer and richer colours but the nexus 7 was dull. Despite that, nexus 7 definitely had a much sharper screen... really nice. All in All, it's a very decent device for it's price. Comparing it to the 7.7" Gtab would be interesting...

For me the lack of 3g version is a deal-breaker. I need connectivity all the time.

It was worth it. iPod was good, but it was too small if you want a tablet.

try to lay down on a bed (easy, we do that 7-8 hours a day), then on your back, try to hold the nexus 7 and type on it with other hand, after 10 minutes, you will feel your pain with the ipad, not with nexus 7.
try to put an ipad in your jacket?
try to put an ipad in a woman purse?
nexus7 is the one to go tablet. the ipad is not a pc, and is too big...just a toy to keep at home.but too expensive and not very comfortable unless you read it on your legs...

From looking at the specs and comparing it to the iPad 2 (WiFi only) it surpasses it in EVERY way including pixel density, RAM and of course price! For €200 more, your only advantage in getting the iPad is for iOS and that's only if you prefer it to Android.
Android is now better than ever, the only thing that leans me towards iOS is the quality of it's apps... Android doesn't tend to have as high quality apps, is that true?

Finally, can I just ask - would it be better to get the Nexus 7 or the iPod Touch 4G? Does anyone have both, I'm stuck between them both!

The Nexus has a great screen, very sharp, video playback looks ace.

The ability to stack apps into a folder on the home screen is very cool, leaves it uncluttered. (although thats more the new Android version than the tablet itself)

The one I'm using is the 16GB version (not that it makes a difference)
Tabbing, manipulation and gestures are all quick and painless, the quad core makes one hell of a difference. The Tegra 3 chip really provides some nice graphics for the games and doesn't stutter at all.
The touchscreen is accurate, something I find can be a problem with a lot of other tablets.
NFC built in is cool, this is a technology that has been around for some time but is only now really coming into the market in a big way.

The price of this is what makes it a really good buy. £200 for the 16GB version is great.
At this price, it beats the 16GB iPad 3 hands down.
The 7" screen may not be for everyone but it means it's at the more portable end of the Tablet scale.
Asus and Google have definately gone the right way making an affordable, yet good spec, tablet.

The camera is only front facing, which is a the only major thing I don't like. And is only 1.2 MP, yet it still takes half decent pictures. Upgraded photo software processing? Answers on a postcard.
If you're after a tablet with a decent camera, there are better ones out there.
But if you want a Good 7" tablet, I think this one is the best around by a long way.

Oh and did I mention it's only £200. I did? oh, sorry. :)
