Ainol tablets still rules especially Aurora, as it has 3G external support and unbrickable tablet when wrong flashed was done..

this tablet is good but not complete.. I mean, missing sd card slot, no external 3G support for usb dongle...
If those missing features are inside this tablet, then definitely i will consider this tablet...

Yes, New ipad got a 10000 Li-po(Remember LI-po battery EXPLODE in some situations)
but it dont help in nothing, ipad consume more power because the SGX543MP4 GPU and chipSET(inferior to Nvidia Tegra 3)

a few things to consider, maybe they will enlighten you a bit:
-asus is the most successful android tablet manufacturer (yes, it's not samsung, we're not talking galaxy S 3 / htc's single tablet is bulky, has awrful battery life and it barely sold)
-the lack of 3g is because they wanted to make it a low-cost tablet (you can always use your mobile phone as a mobile hotspot for the tablet anyway, doh)
-phonecalls on a tablet, really ? generally , if you do have 3g on a tablet, the sim card only supports a data plan, not voice, for the 1% of people who actually use a tablet for voice calls, there are other options

Good specs for this tablet. But my choice it would be better to make it at least 9.7 inch and include a USB port or at least USB on the go for Micro USB coz there is no SD card.
Google, make it better next time.

I have had my Nexus 7 for 5 days. Charged it the first day to full charge. Ran it down to about 35% and decided to recharge 1 day ago. Tried starting it up today and no charge. The thing will not charge with the factory charger or any other charger. Save your money - buy an iPad or wait on the Surface(and gamble there too).

I'll be getting the 16gb myself. If I'm nowhere near Wifi then I'll tether it to my phone. Problem solved. Not having 3g is just to keep the price down, somethings had to go to hit the price point it's at.

No Believe google make their first direct Tab with Asus not Much Android Experience plus missing so many options??? I no care using my Tab missing Camera or making Phone call. I can use my iPhone or Galaxy S3 to that for me. But missing a 3G Option if no Wi Fi Available plus no GPS on board? That is not acceptable.
This is a Big miss by Google. Google should of made this with HTC, Samsung or their new division Motorola. Big Mistake by Google. Asus is motherboard manufacture. The Tab lucky sell over 1Million.
