The device will show its gps location on the map if the thief hasn't signed out of the account. If he has, I'm afraid you have lost your tablet!

Lollipop update for N7 2013 LTE is now available OTA, it's 5.0.2 version. BTW I'm from the Philippines . Currently downloading, been waiting for this for a loooong time. Hope it's worth the wait.

You should wait until google releases 5.1 update, cause 5.0 (5.0.1 and 5.0.2 too)have a lot of bugs, ram issues and there is no much good stock android experience, all of the smoothness somewhere has gone!

My husband bought one of these for his our son. It was stolen from his backpack and I am wondering if there is a Gps chip in it to hopefully track it. Can anyone help me with useful information abt this specific device if any and how it works..Pleezzz.Thank you

Fed of Google's negligence for Lollipop update for N7 2013 LTE, installed Cyanogen Mod 12 (device code name deb).
Easy Quick Steps
1) Unlock Bootloader (Nexus Root Toolkit)
2) Install Clockwork Mod (Nexus Root Toolkit)
3) Make Nandroid Backup from your new recovery for safety.
4) Download CM12 Nightly(deb) and GAPPS keep it on your device.
5) Boot into recovery, wipe cache n all
6) Install zip - first CM12 nightly (should be very quick)
7) Install zip - then Gapps
8) Reboot and done :)
With CM12 - everything's working but GPS. Cellular with LTE working :)

ravi, 10 Jan 2015I am still waiting for lollipop update for my Nexus 7 2013 ... moreYep just install lustrious lollipop ROM. Google isn't worried about updating the N7 2013 LTE. If you want lollipop you'll need to root, twrp recovery and install the LL 5.0.1 ROM for codename deb. Also be sure to flash the "flo" 4.04 boot loader before flashing the ROM. We don't even have factory lollipop for the N7 2013 LTE in the USA. Google doesn't give a flying f***!

Do not install lolipop. My tablet became imposible to use, browsers crash, battery drains like crazy, it takes around 2 seconds for the screen to start, etc. Got 5.0.2 yesterday and some problems are gone, but better wait for 5.1

sae_, 07 Jan 2015Thank You :)Just install es file explorer, with it u can not only access ur usb drive etc, plus u can read/write without rooting ur device. But plz make sure to enable usb debugging in the developer section and ur good to go.

I'm using this device from few months. This is one of the best tablets in terms of display clarity, performance and battery life. I'm on lollipop 5.0.1 recently(downloaded factory image from google developers website, and they also provided flashing instructions). The new lollipop is great as it gives additional 3 hours of battery more than previous versions and the ui os also great. I mainly got this tab to read ebooks, and it gives over 15 hours battery on moon reader, like 2 days. you could turn on battery saver to add extra hours usage(which i usually do, with brightness slightly increased). But video recording is not that great due to low frame rates, not good enough video stabilization and auto focus. no complaints about photos though.
