While Qualcomm named the CPU used on the nexus 7 2013 as Snapdragon S4 Pro, in reality is the APQ8064T, the same CPU used on the Galaxy S4 9505, they just downclocked it to 1.50GHz to match the specs of the previous Snapdragon S4 based on the APQ8064 used on the Nexus 4. The APQ8064T has a revised Krait architecture which allows slightly better INT performance and considerable FPU performance gains compared to the APQ8064.

I had the same issue with my nexus 2 times b4 u have to consider
1.the micro USB socket from over use become not tight with charger just when u c the led below blinking keep the charger in that position and try not to move.
                              2.use original charger
3.don't leave it to be fully uncharged to let u know if it charge or not when the device is on.

Chintoo, 12 Jan 2016You can try installing Cyanogen mod 12.1, if you want to us... moreThank you chintoo. it's ok. It updated successfully to lollipop. And I also upgraded my unit to Marshmallow 6.0.1 which is now available in auto update in settings. so far all software and hardware works fine.

Overall upgrade test and experience from Jelly Bean to Marshmallow 6.0.1:

Jelly Bean (4.1–4.3.1) - no issue
                                  KitKat (4.4.4) - no issue
                                  Lollipop (5.0–5.1.1) - no issue
                                  Marshmallow (6.0–6.0.1) - no issue

but please take note that i have NO application install to my unit and only 1 high-end game and it installed from google play and not custom install(.apk).

                                  Hope this findings helps.

Guys, I updated my unit to last version of KitKat 4.4.4 so far no issue. Now I am downloading the Lollipop 5.0, but i am hesitating to install it because I am reading some user has a bad experience in Lollipop. I am actually planning to go forward to Marshmallow that is why I am updating my OS but I am hearing that there is no Marshmallow yet auto update in Nexus settings. I mean to be able to update your unit in Marshmallow you need to manual install it which is I hate doing it. Is this true? Thanks!
