Hi, anyone succeded in playing the Go game on the P320 or on WM 6.1?
I tried Gnu Go (http://vieka.com/gnugo/) but it won't install."

Now it works. I tried the game on WM6 and WM6.1 emulator images from Microsoft, and it worked. Now I thought that the Asus P320 or the Kingmax SD card are to blame, and tried to install the CAB file from the device ROM. It worked. I uninstalled it and installed it again from the SD card, and it worked too.
Strangely, I didn't make any changes to the device, I only did a reset a couple of days ago.

Jayk, 24 Sep 2008Is it possible to open more than a window in this handset? ... morehey jayk,
i find a nifty little programme very useful to switch between running programmes on winmo, its called "magic button" and shows tiny icons of running programmes on the task bar just like on the desktop version of windows. i suggest you try it.

Murali, 25 Sep 2008Can anyone say the difference between ROM and an extended R... moreOh well, I guess I found out the answer to my question...

"The ROM Structure of HTC Phone Edition devices is divided into three basic sections. They are the ROM, Extended ROM, and Radio. At first, this should seem like jargon to you, but understanding it isn't that difficult.
The ROM contains your device's operating system build and updates to this often fix things like bugs in the operating system and upgrades built in software such as Word Mobile and Windows Media Player. The Radio contains the drivers and software that control the radio of your device and helps with things like reception. The extended rom is a collection of programs and files that install automatically everytime your device is hard reset. Programs in the extended rom often are the same cab files that you use to install software on your Pocket PC without Activesync. These customizations make it easy for distributors to customize handhelds by installing programs on top of the operating system without modifying it. So that the manufacturer can release a new build of the operating system without having to provide individual images for each distributor version of the product."

So I think I should go for the upgrade after all!

I am going to upgrade to a higher version of ROM, but the extended version seems to be a lower version that before. Should I go for it??

If your battery only lasts 8 hours a day, then follow the advice given on previous posts to improve that. As for the GPS, you need to know how to use it -its a piece of technology, not magic - don't blame others if you can't figure that out!

Jayk, 24 Sep 2008Is it possible to open more than a window in this handset? ... moreOpen a program, then press the WinMenu-button (*) (bottom-left) and open another program.

You switch between opened applications with the task manager. That's another program that you have to open this way.

(*) Alternatively you could also press the terminate-call key to show the Today Screen and then open another program.

                                  - GPS is a mess- no info from the ASUS company- all the blobs sitting there do not know the features- The phone hangs atleast three times a day- battery good for 8 hours only- blue tooth connectivity suspect and too much noise- speaker noise unacceptable- the nett summary- it works and has GPS and has win 6.1 but essentially is a cheap chinese replacement for the Nokia phones.
