As suggested by you, if I put the call on hold, the conference option is greyed out, meaning I don't get that option!. I don't know if my mobile has a problem or what!.

As mentioned in the earlier post, the solution to this is to have the Adobe Flash player version 8 in your system. Even if you have Adobe Flash player version 10, this wouldn't work.
And before posting, please make a serious effort to search for an answer in the forum, as answers to most of these queries have been mentioned in the earlier posts. Hope you appreciate.

Even though you can fit 8GB on it and have access to all the data, the phone says that it only has 2.7GB of space on it for some reason.

Its better to get a latest model, but you can always flash the bios to wm6.1 using the patch available from support site. It works fine.

Yes, the phone does support 8GB card.
There is patch available to Asus site - http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us. Select the phone model and download the patch for 8 GB SD card. You have flash the OS, follow the instructions given and font forget to take a back of you personal data.
I am using a 4 GB card which doesnt slow down the phone.

Have you installed any third party software, or have you configured the mail box to check for mail periodically ?
Any how, to disconnect, you dont have to switch off the phone, try the option in wireless manager - Menu - Disconnect cellular data

In Pune, there seems to be only SanDisk 8GB Micro SD Card available for a range between Rs. 1200/- to 1500/-.

Personally I have version 6.1 on my phone and it works fine for me. I think you can go to www.in.asus.com and download the software/patch/update to upgrade your mobile's version to 6.1. Its a simple work.

Once connected, use soft menu button where you will get option of conference!
To record - simply press Microphone button available on keypad and then there you will get option to record.

thanks, but fortunately (or unfortunately) I have purchased it for 14700.00. This handset was offered to me around 12900.00 1&1/2 month back but i purchased E71 that time. Now I checked here in chennai and Delhi it is around 14k b'cos of dollar appreciation.
Even after paying around 15k i had been delivered a set manufactured in June2008 with win mob. 6.0
which is better Win Mob 6 or 6.1 b'cos asus people are telling me that they will give a replacement with new release.
