Hi, I have recently brought a ASUS P527. I have been trying to configure wi-fi on it, however I am unable to do so. The mobile is able to detect the network, however post that I am not able to go forward.

I have called up Airtel broadband services and their mobility several times and have also visited their dealers, but that too has not helped.

I also want to configure Lotus Notes on this mobile. Would be really thankful, if somebody can guide me through this.

    You can set as:
    Start > Setting > Phone > select Ring type as you want.

        Achint, 23 Aug 2008I wanna know,how can we send any data through bluetooth??co... moreAchint , Go to Start > Settings > connections tab > Mode Tab and select make device visible to other devices .

        Then go to Beam settings using the same above mentioned way and check the 'Revieve all incoming beams' box.

        And wnenever you wish to send any data using bluetooth, do not select using the 'send' option in menu, instead of that use Beam file and u should be able to send the files.

        Hope it helps.

        Every one having trouble with the clock resetting 30 minutes. As prashant said earlier, just email Satnav and they wlll send you the link for the updated version which solves the problem.

        I had issues using the hardware keypad for writing SMS. When composing SMS, use keyboard mode and minimize the keyboard. Using the * key change the XT9 to abc and there you are, good to use the keypad just like and other low end phone.

          I wanna know,how can we send any data through bluetooth??coz iam alwayz getting the MMS-by default when ever i try to send..whats the solution?

            I bought this phone yesterday. I am surprised to see that "vibration and ring" mode takes continuous vibration... how to make it in pauses?

            Continuous vibration will drain battery very soon... pls help how to configure "vibration and ring" mode with vibration being in pauses... I dont want to use "vibrate then ring" option...

            Any help is greatly appreciated

Can you just tell me wha... moreI use VirtualDub along with the official DivX codecs - if you're trying to convert a DVD .VOB file, then you'll also need a modified version of VirtualDub which can handle MPEG streams. There is also a free Video Converter at http://www.koyotesoft.com/ which does a good job on most videos I throw at it.

                  Hey Prashant, thanks for the info. Can you just tell me what software do you use to resize videos ? Say if i have a 700 mb divx movie (standard size of most movies) can I easily resize it ?

Honestly, you'll be better off using a USB cable to transfer larger files to the device, since you can copy them directly to the memory card.

As for the performance, I downsize my video files to the phone's resolution (320x240), and they play perfectly without any jumps or lags.

                                Hey all, could any of you guys who own the phone tell me the performance of the phone while watching videos ? Does it play movies without any pauses/lags ? Can it play divX movies or do I have to download codecs for the same ?

After the GPS software maker (SatGuide) sent me a free update, the handset works very well indeed without any problems whatsoever. Also, I appreciate SatGuide's prompt and excellent support for its software.

                                        Let me put my keypad question in this way,

                                        I wish to use the phone keypad(hardware)to type SMS message just like a low end phone (nokia 1100, 3310 etc). I can use the keyboard but my curiosity remains if the keypad cannot be used for typing alphabets (except for XT9), what remains the use ?
