I know how to close applications free RAm etc etc etc and I was using MemMaid as well. The phone has a hardware issue actually and is being replaced completely by the manufacturer. I think most people who choose a feature packed phone like this one know how to close applications, mate.

This is the best Phone with perfect features. I have been using it since last 2 months. It does not hang if you know how to manage your applications. I always close the applications once I finish using it and free the RAM.

An update on my P750. The phone ahs gone for repair with Asus under warranty .The hanging got worse- the data connection went , the phone connection went, I lost all my contacts- 500 plus and I lost all my pictures on my card becausee after hard resetting 3 times- the phone refused to restore PIM . I had to trouble shoot with the dealer several times andspent hours in th shop over this phone. It also cost me a lot in data charges because the 3G GPRS would connect over WiFi even when WiFi was connected .
Needless to say ,i am sad and fed up considering the expense of the phone and it is only 1 month old .

I will still say this is the best PDA phone on the market right now. When it works ,it's brilliant and when it does not, it's an utter nightmare.

I experienced the same hanging problem everyday, especially when answering calls during GPS running. Though I like the features and functions the phone provides. The GPS is wonderful.

Thanks for the replies. In that case, I'll have to wait for a stable firmware upgrade before purchasing this phone.

                      Right !
It hangs once a day....may be the processor or something. I don't know why..even though I didn't install that much application...That sucks..... I am thinking to sell it back...who wants to buy it ? I'll go for HP iPAQ 614c .... hopefully better than that creepy phone..

My P750 hangs all the time- every day ,at least once. I normally soft reset daily- about twice and the worst was 5 times.i found inatalling MemMaid helped but no doubt this phone hangs anyway .
I still think this is the best PDA phone on the market depsite this and the 64 mb RAM.

Writing emails, texting is a dream on this phone with the keypad and XT9.

How is the phone going in terms of hanging?

With everything aside, this is probably one of the most important things for me. The P525 that I am using now has only hanged twice in 1 year and this is why I love it so much.

That's right ...same old things...if they the keep doing same old way ....Asus is way far to go compete with some giant PDA manufacturers...

For Christ sake, that's THE SAME phone as 525 or 535!
                                    There's NOTHING new in it.
Same old platform. Same old Marvell processor. Same tiny 64 RAM. The bluetooth stack (MS) is worse than in 535 (Widcomm). Same slllloooowwwww usb connection. Same old SIRFStarIII (good one). Same old tiny 320x200 screen. This is a 2-year old phone with 2005 characteristics.
Are smartphone manufacturers going to use old 64mb memory modules, old processors and old tiny screens forever? Or,perhaps if we the customers will stop buying old crap labelled as new, they'll finally come out with something really new?
