in fact, after a few days use and installed a few software like spb pocket, phone suit, etc.. the phone seems more stable than before surprisingly. I also realize that sometimes the screen does not respond and it looks like it hangs up, but if leaving it for ~1min, somehow it returns to normal, so it is like the cpu has been working on something during the "hung" period. Don't know if other users experience the same.

it actually hangs a few times when i m playing with it. Asus must need to resolve this! strange that it uses USB 1.1??? and 64MB ram, otherwise this is a not bad wm6 phone in terms of price and quality

According to http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index.php and some other pages they have actually a VGA display. This would be even better.

I have used Asus P535 for more than a year. Now I have bought the P750 and I guess this is the best decision I have taken.
As I am travelling a lot communication is very important. I have installed Skype mobile version on the phone and I am calling cheaply where ever there is a wifi or 3G network available. The voice is very clear.
In few other phones I used Fring for internet calling which also works very well. But sometimes echo and delay is too much.
One of the best thing on the phone is the GPS. When I updated the GPS over the internet the phone only took 2 seconds to lock on the satellites.
Guys if you are interested in this phone please do not hesitate to buy it.
I am not too keen to take photo on phones. but the photo on this phone is quite reasonable.
I have used
HTC Touch Dual
Nokia E90 (very good xcept GPS)
Nokia E61
NOkia E60
Nokia 9500 Communicator.
O2XdaII
and a lot more
also this phone is a looker
tks

been using the phone for over a week. i have not installed other softwares on it yet. everything is good. phone is stable. i've only reset it 2x or 3x. much much better than my nokia n80. 64mb ram doesnt bother me. i'm a heavy user on contacts n appointments. active sync works much much much better than the nokia pc suite sync. great 1 hand operation on this phone. superb while driving or on the move. so u guys whos comtemplating btwn this phone n htc, i would say just go ahead n get this phone. no regrets dude... cheers

Hi Andrea!!!
The Asus P750 is a triband GSM phone - supporting 900/1800/1900 MHz bands only. It doesn't support the 4th band i.e. 850 MHz. The US GSM network supports dual-bands 850/1900 MHz bands.
That's why this phone might not work in the US. This is a big disadvantage with this phone. Otherwise, I still think that this is one of the best handhelds available today - both feature-wise and performance-wise.

Hi $@m,
Ya i checked out the HP ipaq 614...it is indeed better than the Asus P750 in features...but I am not sure abt the performance of the Hp ipaq one...i had the Asus P750 for a few days and it is indeed a great PDA..much faster than any of the other competitors in terms of CPU speed...plus the physical numeric keypad is a great advantage in both these phones...

This phone supports UMTS 2100 only? American telecom operators support UMTS 850 & 1700...at least that's what I am aware of...can someone let me know whether this phone would support 3G in USA? Thanks!!!
