I realize that if they don't release an 888+, would the Strix version use the Dimmensity 1200? I honestly wouldn't mind that:
Regular (with 168Hz HRR, replace macros with telephoto, and UFS 3.1; +$100 in the US for mmWave):
16GB RAM/512GB ROM - $1100
12GB RAM/512GB ROM - $1000
8GB RAM/256GB ROM - $875 (not avail in the US)
Strix version (Dimmensity 1200, 144Hz HRR, Macros instead of Telephoto, and UFS 3.0):
12GB RAM/256GB ROM - $800
8GB RAM/256GB ROM - $700 ($800 as the only Strix model available in the US)
8GB RAM/128GB ROM - $625
I can see absolute potential in all that. Considering the Dimmensity 1200 is more powerful than the Snapdragon 865+, I believe it's time for cheaper gaming phones with this processor.

I bought mine S10+ 1TB Performance edition in late 2019 for 700€ and I was looking specificaly for Rog 2 12/512 and it was 900€. Design of Rog is unique and it always has top notch performance. I consider for what I want my phone and I realize I don't need beautiful futuristic eyecatcher with medicore camera and 200€ bigger pricetag. Rog 2 and 3 are perfect for gaming and very powerful, much more than S10+ I believe. But I wanted better camera and tones of good features from S10+, it is more compact but with smaller battery. For every day use I chose S10+ with perfect camera, beautiful screen, ceramic and IP rating body, curved screen, slim design, better software support and Rog wasn't available in my country but I found it in Spain on trip. Some people are saying Rog 2 is better than Rog 3 but I can't say anything. I'm pretty satisfied with S10+ it is beautiful, mighty and good pal through the day. I have no overheating, battery lasts 1 day (24+hrs) with 4g, bluettoth and location on and I browse the web, do phonecalls and type a lot. Ram memory is never ocupied more than 7.5GBs, its between 4 and 6GBs at 90% of time, just sometimes 6 to 7.5GBs. I will highly recomend this beautiful device.

they should add 1440p in the next one to make it EVEN better. i mean it does not matter but still, doesn't hurt to have it right?

I bought rog 3 global version phone on 16.12.2020. I noticed no voice/volume/ sound. I pressed restart option and Today it has been stuck on phone restarting screen. Phone is not doing any action at all. I should have not invested my money on such phone or company.
Now i will have to follow up for claiming etc.

Pow43, 21 Dec 2020Go for classic edition if you have budgetI bought my Rog Phone 3 12/256gb variant from Rakuten that was imported from China. So yeah, it's the Tencent version but it works absolutely fine as the ones I can find in France. I decided to import coz it saved me 250 euros. Lol
The phone came with Global ROM, so there was nothing to worry abiut anything. Only drawback is, I don't get OTA update pushed to my phone. Each month, I visit Asus website to download and update manually. Hardly takes 3 minutes with good wifi to update. I can confidently recommend Rog phone 3. It's a superb phone.

If you l... moreIf you have an unlimited budget, go for the classic version. something like 16/512.
If you're a budget person, go for the Tencent version.
