Please beware if u buy this phone, my screen just scratched very easily by wall, because I dont get free screen protector. The performance is no problem, but not much games can entertain me as pc games yet. If it was, maybe this phone can handle it smoothly like genshin impact, but I m not genshin fan. Most of high quality graphics games still not support highest quality yet to this phone by now exp: grid autosport. Pubg just updated 90fps for this phone, but I dont like shooting ang killing games. So, I really enjoy using this phones for watching movies, because of front facing speakers and the picture is very beautiful. Overall, I can give pros 8 and cons 2 (too hot and easy scratched).

can someone please help me with this?
my budget is around 45-50k. and i don't wanna buy any sd888 soc phone because of the heating issue. i mainly have 3 choices: rog 3, op9r, s20 fe 5g. which do i pick? and yes gaming is my first priority. personally i wanna go with the rog3 because of the giant battery and best in class speakers but the only thing stopping me is the os and ui updates. what do i do?

Dont buy rog 5, read this first. I've been using rog 2 and samsung s10e. So finally i upgraded my samsung s10e to rog 5. So i got 2 rog phones. When we talk about performance rog 5 surpass the rog 2. But i find that rog5 get warm so easy. And for wifi connection rog 5 is terrible if i compared to my rog2. I use same wifi but u will get faster connection in rog2, u will find a lagging connection in rog 5. Rog5 battery drain so fast compared to rog 2. Please fix rog 5 with software update @asus. The phone is great but alot of improvement needed compare to rog 2 which is better in my opinion

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2021Heey...i got the same dilemma.Listen if want buy a gaming I suggest you to skip this year because all gaming this year are worse than last year and even snapdragon 888 chipset was made in hurry because of competition with exynos chipset that why it's making all phones really hot to even touch. Now about about rog 5 you can't use it full power without the cooler which only come with the pro and ultimate version that without mentioning the possible system bugs . As for red magic 6 it's system just a punch of bugs like the system full of bugs in every aspect according to people who bought the phone so ya that what I can say

I am coming from a Oneplus 6T and as OP is known for its super clean OS and snappy animations, I can confirm ROG UI feels pretty much the same as OP UI if not better.

I read a lot about the Asus Rog 5 issues i got no problem with most of it but the motherboard malfunction "phone dead after a few months without facing any dropping or any thing else" is what bothering me ,, i need from experts to advise me is this isolate case or its really a problem with this phone..

I’ve seen a lot of people talk about heating issues etc. I’ve also seen the durability test on this phone. There’s also past users who claim that the previous generation of ROG phones just died on them.
I’m currently considering to buy either the ROG 5 or the Red Magic 6. Which one do you think is better?
The people who already have the ROG5 here, would you buy it again if you had the chance or would you shift to something else?

Idk if this is me only but i touch the character to swap but sometimes it didnt swap. I had to touch so many timesss. I know its not connection probs because sometimes when i wanna touch the item to pick up, it didnt pick up. I think the touchsreen sensitivity is bad???? Am doing abyss and wanna switch char. I tap like 4/5 times. Sucks

So it seems there's alot of heating issues. Was thinking on getting one, would anyone think they'll fix the heating with a software update? Fix up sd888.
Alternatively could go for redmagic 6 with less heating issues.
