DEAR BROTHER,
for me u know what happned i bought this phone on may 2021 and in September 2021 it gone dead and sent tot SC after fighting one nd half month got replaced with new phone... Again yesterday it went completely shutdown dont ever buy these type of phone

TLDR; Don't buy this phone, It's broken!
I've bought this phone in Late September 2021, everything is fine except the fast overheating on the device after playing some games. In 2 months of usage, the original charger adapter suddenly won't charge. in 4 months of usage, the phone suddenly freeze and turned off, can't be charged, can't be turned on, just completely dead.
The service center also the worst, I've bring it to SC and it's been 9 days, when I call the SC they said that they're still waiting for spare part to be delivered but won't tell me what is the part ordered and asking me to just wait until further notice.
You would find a better flagship phone packing Snapdragon 888 rather than this junk. Seriously, I've never bought a phone that turn completely dead after less than a year usage. You could also find so many people complaining about this issue when you googled it.

SHoumEN, 08 Dec 2021I have the phone for over 2 months now and really can not c... morethat's exactly what happened to me before it went dead, asus will replace your phone or motherboard as long as it is under warranty but in my case i got a replacement phone with different IMEI so the box and phone don't match this will decrease the value, by the way i always play with air conditioning and use the aeroactive cooler, first moth flawless, after a while experienced a froze now and then, then it died.

Sam9037, 29 Jan 2022Hi , friends I would like to buy ROG 5 , How's this ... morei think you should consider another phone, i bought one on september 30, 2021 by mid december went dead, apparently is an issue with mother, after almost a month of going back and forth with support they will replace the phone, but will not extend the warranty, don't get me wrong the phone is a beauty, but if something wrong happens they will try by any means to avoid honoring warranty and if they do it will take about 3 months to do so. I got myself a redmagic 6s pro its better durability wise but support is about the same as asus

Aight lets start from the beginning...this phone is so messed up that this is the first and last time im buying anything rog related...lemme start by telling what the issue are on the phone rn 20/02/22....sim card goes off all the time have to restart 2-4 times to get it to work again...low speaker goes off after a couple of hours of usage,again,have to restart to get it to work.. vibration has been dead for the past 4 months which is sooo frustrating im missing so many calls... finger print unlock is dead for the past 3 months too...game genie/air triggers etc is constantly crashing making it unable to use....i might think of more as time passes,this phone is literally garbage and asus is worse..their reply is to send it for fix...not only they gave us a phone thats broken since day 1 they want us to pay and be without a phone for god knows how much time because of their mess....im tired of it...i wont send it for a fix my last hope is this is all a software issue and they will launch an update that will make it all right but i doubt it...

GrossmeisterB, 30 Jan 2022I don't know what all the people complain about, my RO... morewell some people experience sudden death issue, wifi and hotspot issue etc. I think they are right bcos they are using this phone for about 1+ year while your is only about 4 months. So you have to be careful to your phone to avoid these issues.

I don't know what all the people complain about, my ROG Phone 5 16GB/256GB version runs fine since september 2021. No issues at all. Works flawless. Very good and ultra fast phone, with many many very good features!

I got my ROG 5 last yr in september 8/128 gb model. I havent faced any major issues besides wifi. But currently been struggling with Screen Cast. Cant connect to my Smart Tv. Is anyone having same issue? Rest the phone works as good as the day i bought it.

Disappointed to this phone also. Just bought mine last December 19, 2021 ( ROG 5s Pro ) after 28 days of using it, the fast charging feature broke itself and stuck in certain battery percentage while charging. I send it to the service center and still waiting for an update. Planning to refund it if there's another issue arise after I claim it. -_-

Janssen, 14 Jan 2022No such issue. Another troll spreading fake informations.It's true. My rog phone 5 is in service center now (second time though). Switched off on its own and won't turn on.
In case if some users aren't facing issues, they are either lucky or worst is yet to come for them.

Another troll spreading fake informations.I wish that were true, there is even a telegram channel with over 300 members who have their mb replaced, some even multiple times. My unit as well was affected just last week, woke up in the morning to see it had restarted for some reason and no wifi. Only solution is to get the mb replaced at service center.
