Asus ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5s get stable Android 12 updates
Asus is back with some more Android 12 stable updates, following the release for the Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip, which happened all the way back in December 2021.
This time around, it's the ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5s units that are the lucky ones. According to posts on Asus' official forums, the new software should be on the way to both models. The new build is labeled 31.0810.1226.57 for both.
As expected, you're getting all the usual Android 12 goodies, along with a new ROG UI design, revamped built-in apps, a new console design in Armoury Crate, and many more improvements and enhancements, that you can check out at the Source links below. We can't share the entire changelog here, as it's positively gigantic - and thankfully includes a fair number of bug fixes too.
As usual, the update may be going out in stages, so it could take a few days (or even weeks) for it to make it to all devices out there. If you don't want to wait, you can download the new version from the official website - linked from the Sources below. But if you do that, make absolutely sure you have the correct model number, and back up your data as instructed, before you attempt an install.
