With this spec, how long do you guy... moreA few years but the 20:9 aspect ratio is why the next phone might already topple this one if it comes with 21:9.
That, mmWave, and a terabyte of UFS 3.1 could do it as well.

Kageneko, 01 Jun 2021Man It sucks feeling like I was the only person who liked t... moreGet a 3DS and jailbreak it, and nah i also liked that idea, I skipped ROG 1 & 2 waiting for an SD card slot, Skipped 3 for the removal of the headpjone jack/still no sd, and was gonna buy this ROG 5 but then they got rid of DS dock for ds/3ds games multitasking, still no sd card slot but was gonna settle, I think im gonna go with a blackshark instead since they have real shoulder buttons, still no sd card slot and no ds dock but whatever,

Man It sucks feeling like I was the only person who liked the Twinview Dock idea.
I couldn't find one comment about it and it's omission with the ROG 5. I loved the design of the Twinview dock 1 (reminded me of a DS) but didn't much care for the 2 and 3 design. And now it's gone, stating lack of interest for the reason. Looks like they were correct.
But, now I need a new phone! Was amped for the 5 but seeing no twinview I need to look into other phone brands and its quite disappointing. Maybe the Surface duo 2 when it launches this fall I spose(Unless anyone else has any suggestions).

DGaymer, 29 May 2021that was my question for sure when will we be able to buy t... moreUh...Red Magic only has ONE thing more than the ROG Ultimate (refresh rate which makes zero difference).
Also, since you live in the US, we can barely (if at all) use their 5G. At least Asus has VoLTE/VoWifi.

JD, 24 May 2021The delay in releasing the rog phone 5 ultimate has been so... morethat was my question for sure when will we be able to buy the darn thing lol looking at it yes it's an eye catcher and I love hefty phones but the delay.....after delay....after delay and then the question of will we even be able to get it in the US and here's REDM pumping out phone after phone higher RF rates too so I'm torn between waiting on this and going ahead and buying the RED at half the price and higher specs (maybe I just answered my own question)

So will we even get the Ultimate version in the US in June I've been comparing this and the RDM6PRO and I don't know which way to go I want this phone for several different reasons and I want the RED for maybe...a few but If I can't buy it what's the point lol I wish youtubers would do their jobs and just say hey it'll only be avabe in certain countries I'm on a goose chase!!

Well, the Red Magic 6 Pro is better value, but straight better? No. Both of them have the same Snapdragon 888 chipset and have 12GB-18GB RAM variants.

The delay in releasing the rog phone 5 ultimate has been so long that in the meantime the Nubia Red Magic 6 pro has blown it right out of the water with higher specs at half the price. I'm beginning to wonder if Asus will ever get to release the ultimate. Something tells me that this was just a gimmick/bait for their lower spec versions. Either that or the product had some flaws that kept them from launching it soon after announcement or even in May, for that matter. I was in line for the ultimate but as soon as I saw the Red Magic 6 pro I fell in love with it and bought it in the blinking of an eye. And I couldn't be happier than I am with it. :)

Sakuta Kaminari, 28 Apr 2021Unpopular opinion : Wireless charging is just a gimmick. Not exactly a gimmick as the charging port may get damaged after a while, but it's not that amazing either because one cannot use the phone (while docked) the same way as with wired charging. Xiaomi claims to be working on a distance charger, but that might take a while yet.
