The problem with gaming mobile phones is that they are not gaming at all! The world's only real gaming mobile was the Sony Xperia Play with physical game keys. And this is a requirement of a mobile gaming....

I love the battery of the ASUS ROG! I had the 5S.
I like this one but I have seen reviews and it seems from the front it is the exact same phone. So I will probably pass.

2nd Oled screen doubles prices as regular version.
Asus must put another screen, so it will be arround 3000 euros which is good money,

The Asus ROG 6 ultimate is the snapdragon 8 gen 1+ version of the same smartphone
The reason this smartphone exists so gamers have the choice too pick there prefered hardware
The mediatek dimensity 9000 is a Flagship processor
About equal too the snapdragon version
It's really good a gaming smartphone was built around the mediatek dimensity 9000+ so it doesn't go too waste

mithai, 18 Oct 2022I am not a gamer but very impressed of the specs for asus r... morenormal use in this would be an overkill. and it gives you the best scrolling and viewing experience. it has 165hz amoled though.
its like driving a bugatti as daily driver..
but dont expect to have a good camera quality. it has no OIS because this is a gaming oriented phone. anyways you got a 3.5mm jack so you can always jam cheap headset to expensive ones.

... moreIt seems to me that the Mediatek SoC DAC (ROG 6DU) is inferior for sound quality than the Qualcomm SoC (ROG 6 Pro). Not only does the former not support AptX HD/AptX Adaptive Bluetooth, it's also lower bandwidth from the jack (192kHz/16bit on ROG 6D Ultimate vs 384kHz/32bit max on ROG 6 Pro). Neither have dedicated ESS Sabre HiFi DACs like LG used to have, something that the ROG 5 had. Same issue with the Xperia 1-IV/Pro-I, it's a SoC DAC to my knowledge. Even the so called audiophile grade flagship phones aren't really that at all - they just have a generic 3.5mm jack without a dedicated DAC that's been tuned for audiophile listening. Anyway I'm still trying to decide between the ROG 6 Pro/6D Ultimate/Xperia 1-IV 16GB Gaming edition.
