See I am using ROG 2 for the last two month... I am facing an issue with the phone is while the call end phone get switch-off. Every each calls we should Manually switch-on the phone... So please carefull. I think I lost my money.

KR, 14 Dec 2019hello guys i just wanna ask some owners if the software of ... moreComing from Huawei P10 and Mate 10, some features I use there are not available but not dealbreaker. Example:
*ability to multi mark in gallery by sliding thru the photos/vids. This is also in iOS.
*No built-in pedometer.
*Brightness can't go lower. Might be hardware limit. Reddish tint is real but I can ignore.
*No screen lock icon built-in so I had to download which I need to add permission every shutdown.
*No checkbox for auto-brightness within the dropdown menu. You need to go to setting or add display setting icon to home screen.
*No notes app so I download One Note, I have MS account so no problem for me.
*Above average FPS, not excellent. There is noticeable delay in unlocking if you come from fast FPS phones.
*Camera has lag in taking photos in between. I think this would be fixed?
ROG 2 over my last phones:
*Blazing fast anywhere. In browser, the difference is huge.
*Once I used 120fps, I had migraine when I scrolled using old phone.
*Armory Crate is awesome!
*Triggers are customisable. I grip the phone, camera will open. I grip longer, another thing happens. You setup this options.
*Ask me what you need to know.
Overall, I still like this phone and boast it. The difference in speed and fluidity is real. I was just babysitted by Huawei in software support. Lol

What if the lightning and type c is gonna disappear one day and Qi charging comes up or I have seen there's a cheap charger with magnetic tips on it( type c and lightning) and who knows if the manufacturer is gonna adopt that or what! I like ROG phone by the way.

This is a big trash on Asus! These differences matter a lot. in your place I would return the device! Asus must be sued for false information! Strix sold as EU model! Don't forget this! The behavior of Asus is unacceptable!

So I ordered the Strix Edition model for around €700 that has been released globally, thinking the only difference between the other two Elite/Ultimate models was the RAM & storage specifications... But as it turns out it seems the Strix Edition is more or less a copy of the Tencent Edition with reduced network speeds in Cat16 with 2x2 MIMO, no WiFi 6 support & limited LTE band support... The Elite Edition goes for around €1000 and Ultimate €1100 so I'm just wondering if it still makes sense to stick with the Strix Edition and that these drawbacks are not really anything to worry about? Seems like it might be better to save some money unless you really feel like thw additional storage capacity of the higher cost models might come in handy? The only thing that worries lie slightly is that it doesn't have support for LTE band 20 (800 MHz) which is used in my country (Sweden) and might make 4G connection unavailable in some locations...
What do people think in general of the Tencent Edition specs versus the Elite/Ultimate specs? Is it really just the differences in storage that should decide which one you go for and if 128 GB is enough for you there really is no reason to go for the higher priced models?

satorhelyi, 11 Dec 2019Asus Rog 2 Srix Edition EU( !!!!!!!!) : Dual 4G SIM st... moreYeah I am so confused about this as well and I sent an email to Asus and got a late reply that the specifications on their website are supposedly correct for the Strix Edition model which makes it seem like a copy of the Asian Tencent Edition... I posted about this here a few days ago when I had concerns about it! Is it really possible that they would be selling this globally when it doesn't even have full LTE bands support to work in all countries???
What makes it even more strange is that several retailers here in my country (Sweden) have started selling this Strix Edition model and lists support for IEEE 802.11ad (WiFi 6, which Asus websites indicates it does not, only IEEE 802.11ac) under specifications for it... One of them also lists that it has the same LTE band support just like the Elite/Ultimate models while on Asus website it shows that it is lacking several of them under networking specifications (which can be seen in the post I am replying too)!
To anyone with knowledge about these networking specifications and the restrictions that the Strix Edition model seems to have (Cat16, 2x2 MIMO, no WiFi 6 support), how much of a drawback would you say this is overall and will you be able to tell a big difference in everyday use if you compare it to the Elite/Ultimate models which has LTE Cat18/20, 4x4 MIMO technology (4 antennas instead of 2 for better signal?) and support for WiFi 6? Is it worth spending around $300 extra to get this plus the additional RAM & storage that those models have..?
