Aku Poyo, 04 Apr 2012has Asus found how to resolve GPS issues from previous mode... moreThats one of the main reasons they made this updated version. The metallic backing caused poor wireless and GPS. The TF700T has a metal back too, but it includes a plastic strip at the top that allows the antenna to have a clear line of sight.

Comes with a phone and a larger tablet form with a keyboard all carrying separate batteries so that you could run upto 14 hrs on it.

Without 3G or 4G your tables are useless. Few mounts ago i decided to purchase Prime but without 3/4G i wouldn't do that. I stay and waiting to see TF700T and if it's again without 3G or 4G I'll decide to change brand ASUS froever becouse ASUS not listening users wishes and buy Samsung or Motorola. I think you will lose a lot of your customers and lot of potential future customers. So think wisely.

Asus it is time to listen to the customers.

It is not everybody is desperate for it but some people do need 3G. I want to buy this for my parents who travel between locations so WiFi is not an option so is tethering.

I do not want to end up with another Samsung product who has become a snob thinking that they premier vendor but leave their customers on long contract without software update.

Come on Asus it cannot be that hard to see that 3G tablets have a market.

kulty, 29 Feb 2012There is no need of 3g in a tablet, just share your phone 3g... moreFor sales, field engineers,... 3G is a MUST!! I do not want to cut my phone battery life short by using it as a wifi point. I do not have luxury of charging at any given moment...

ASUS..., we need 3G... at least as an option. Please!

if you need more than wifi get a mobile hotspot from verizon(4g) or sprint(3g), or use your phones hotspot which is cheaper than gsm would cost you.

Without 3G it cannot be considered complete. While smaller companies and brands ofer wi-fi, 3g and some of them even gsm voice support, Asus cannot ofer these options in a premium quality product ? Wi-fi is not enough as data source. In trains or in remote locations where wi-fi hotspots dont exists, it practically becomes...expensive furniture.

I fail to understand the ANIMOSITY of ASUS with in built 3G capabilities. As I understand putting 3G hardware costs 10 to 15 USD extra which actually turns out to be less than 5% of the total price but it adds more than 100% convenience for users. Sometimes, difficult to understand these corporates' fancies like that of APPLE against flash, like that of HTC against HDMI slots, like that of motorola against open bootloaders and finally that of microsoft against expandable SD cards. Why can't these guys come together and build standardisation and then compete on innovation, quality and capability rather than features.
