Normally, I would be obsessed over Asus, but this one is the most mediocre yet. No charger? Larger screen? Not-centered USB port? No thanks.

    This phone really is stretching the meaning of "Ultra", especially with that camera setup, which is identical to the Rog Phone 8 duo, because the whole phone is, but it's also basically the same as the Zenfone 8 Flip's setup, except that at least had AF on it's ultrawide camera. Yeah, the telephoto is higher resolution on this one, but unless something has changed compared to Rog Phone 8 duo, it shoots at 8 MP, just like the 8 Flip did..

        If this is the Ultra version, then a vanilla compact version should be in the cards. After all, ASUS did the same thing with the Zenfone 8 series before.

                  Super Android 22, 04 Mar 2024People forget the type C ports on phone do atleast 5gbps da... moreno matter how superior of a protocol usb is, being forced to choose between charging your phone and listen to audio on wired earphones is still a massive inconvenience at times. not to mention carrying around a dongle.

                  it has nothing to do with embracing the future, and everything to do with tricking you into buying their overpriced earbuds (airpods, galaxy buds, oneplus buds, etc). remember samsung mocked apple for removing the jack, then they realized how much money they are leaving off the table and deleted all their ads.

                  i could probably get over the death of the headphone jack, if they gave us TWO usb ports as a standard. but besides the ROG phones, they never did.

                    1.5 and 2 TB is a possibility, but I think it will be on other part use like the gaming console for the moment.

                                justasmile, 26 Feb 2024Just because of a pathetic microSD card slot and hole punch... morePeople forget the type C ports on phone do atleast 5gbps data transfer rates and have active and passive passthrough so actually makes sd card slot and jack pointless, portable ssd and getting a dongle which good companies supply with the phone (so not apple, samsung, pixels and xperia phones) which is the way to go, probably same people who prefer horse and carriage over an eletric car.
