hey guys,my phones had fell down many times but not cause physical damge but im felling that it may caused my phones slow down a bit and lag,,it this becaus some of the chips or my battery..

had the phone forabout 14 months, was good at 1st, but a problem with the reciever I can not hear caller without earplugs or I have to use the loudspeaker which does not give any privacy or annoys people around me. I can not remember if this started after an update or not and have tried suggestions from forums, but nothing has worked. Have had to replace rear camera lens cover twice, even though I use a belt pouch, it gets scratched when I put it on a desk because it should have been recessed. I also have a strange problem when using WiFi, it recieves gmail notices no problems but I can not download other data or MMS without turning mobile data on. Battery life (2400mah) when it was new was very good, but now it only lasts a day with light use, so I have to put on charge every night.

I have been using this mobile for 10 months now.
I havent upgraded the os to mashmallow yet (dont want to further reduce the available Ram and Internal storage)
I am happy with the lollipop os. The battery usage is pretty good with 70% brightness and power saving mode (it can last almost 1.5 days with light usage)
I am satisfied with the camera
Occasionally, it slows down
No problem with touch screen so far!
Overall, i am happy with my mobile

I was download firmware version 13.1010.1612.53_ and 13.10.10.38 ww sku and trying to Manuel update but update has not complete.i has try 4 time and every time update process 25 to 30% complete.

Used it for a year. I had my happy moments and really frustrating moments. GPS does not work at all. So when I get lost it is completely useless. The primary camera is great but the front cam is so slow in response. The battery life is great when data is off but once you turn on the data it drains so quickly. I like that it keeps up to date with the OS so I dont feel so left out in the world. Double tap unlock feature is something I will miss. Speaker isn't too loud, wish it can be louder.
I'll rate it with 7.5/10

This is my phone. It's been almost a year since I've got it and it still feels pretty new. It looks new, if nothing else. I've also got several software updates since the purchase, so I don't feel excluded out of the Android world.
Apart from the price to performance ratio, which is excellent, I can say that the phone itself is excellent, especially if you consider it was bought a year ago. Nevertheless, it still is a good and viable device today with its 2GB of RAM and uptodate software.
Besides that, it has an excellent 13MP HDR still camera with a dual LED flash and an innovative laser guided AF. It is also capable of producing full HD videos (1080p@30fps) with stereo sound.
ASUS with its Zenfones was among the first four manufacturers in the world to implement Gorilla Glass 4 on its smartphones at that time. So, when I read how this device is little fragile, I can't help but wonder why did they write that. Just search the internet for a video of people scratching their Asus Zenfones with screwdrivers, people hitting their Zenfones with a hammer... Just click one, there are many to chose from...
I had an S4 before and I cannot express my relief. I couldn't have bought a better phone.
I could've bought another device for more or less the same money, like Acer or Lenovo for instance. They had devices in the same class. But I wouldn've had the Gorilla Glass 4, I wouldn't have had a 13MP camera and I wouldn've had a genuine brand. Since many other brands changed owners recently, unlike Asus, which stayed genuine.
And besides that, I also would've missed the innovative laser AF for example, the double tap screen unlock function, which is very comfortable to use, the keyless edge, so I can grab my phone the way I please when it rings. The rear volume keys... And who knows what else.
My vote? Excellent!

Why the double tap to screen lock amd unlock does not work If I use other launcher apps? I am pretty much Bored with the ZenLauncher

After a year on the market this phone still is full of bugs.
Though they released an update for the earjacks recently, it still has the bug that soundnotifications like from whatsapp, phonecalls, sms and so on will be played over speakers, no matter if earjacks are plugged or not.
Phoneapp is bugged, you cannot change/set the voicemailnumber of your speeddial '1'.
Dateformat is not changeable.
Timestamp option in the photoapp is fixed to american dateformat i think (displaying month.year.day?), and not changeable.
A lot of ASUS-software, which uses up a lot of space, you need a SD-Card.
Though Android allows to integrate SD-Cards as internal memory, ASUS wont allow it and its recognised as external memory so you cannot save apps on it. Well, you can tell the cameraapp to save pics to SD, but thumbs and according data still will be saved internal.
And other apps e.g. whatsapp dont even have the option for external save.

Now on android 6.0.1 marshmallow, battery life is average, good UI customization, great phone quality but rather low volume of loudspeaker, average camera (but fast laser autofocus), rather slow charging speed, sometimes feel sluggish (low-end chipset) and not so great screen-to-body ratio. Today, many smartphone maker make a good smartphone for lower price, get yourself one. I think this phone is rather outdated. Any feedback is welcome.
