Malaysia set Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL - 2GB RAM 16GB Internal Storage.
In addition, there is no earpiece/handsfree earphone in box.
Comparison with Moto G 4G 1st Gen, speaker is noticeably softer on the Zenfone. Make sure to use the AudioWizard to improve the default sound quality for the speaker and earpiece.
Brightness on the the Moto G can go a lot brighter and a lot dimmer compared to the Zenfone. Zenfone minimum brightness is too bright to use for night reading. I wonder is it safe to use an app to reduce the brightness without causing damage to the TFT screen.
It is not an IPS screen so clarity is sacrificed .. very noticeable if too bright or too dim in screen brightness. If the Asus Malaysia website was not so ambiguous, I would have reconsider other phone with IPS display like the ZTE Blade S Lite since the price was competitive after discount. Auto Brightness is useless.
So if you are looking for an IPS screen phone, look else where.
But consolation prize for me is that it has Dual SIM Dual Standby 4G. Data can only work on one SIM at a time.
Camera is mediocre at best for a 13MP sensor. Not for photogs.
GPS is slow, with or without WiFi/data. I use standalone GPS app.
Certain apps can't be locked using the AppLocker.
MicroUSB of the USB charging cable is really tight. Many times, I thought I insert it the wrong way round but it wasn't the case.
Battery drains really quickly even for a non IPS screen phone.
Asus used to be good with their technical but looks like they are declining in recent years. Asus customer service is close to nil.

Am using this phone and It has 13mp rear camera and 5mp front camera. Takes amazing close-up shots. Use the manual setting for better image quality. The screen is vivid as you would want it. Infact its better than most 720p displays. The ultra responsive touchscreen is brilliant. You'd never feel sluggish or face any issue while typing or playing multi touch games. Call quality is some what low but am not saying its bad but it could've been louder. The speaker is decent enough. ZenUI is perfect. One of the best UIs. Very good to hold and doesn't feel heavy. Easy to pull out of pocket as it has curved edges. Multitasking performance is average. Casual games like dead trigger both 1 and 2, clash of clans, candy crush, into the dead, ramboat and some other similar games runs without any lag or freeze. Memory is expandable upto 128gb. There is radio too, for those who care. Doesn't heat at all. Doesn't come with earphone. Need to buy separately. Battery lasts tops 5 hours under heavy use with apps running in background. DONT LET FAKE REVIEWERS MISGUIDE YOU!!!

All specs ar great aside from the battery.. 2070 mah is really a setback. I would have bought this phone but i cant find the 2400mah version. I wonder if 2070 mah would last long on constant wifi usage and video playback..
