The ASUS officials also admitted the bug and working on this and other bugs also...
it's basically caused by the software part as the bug appears randomly and not every time and gets cleared when u reboot your device and again reappears... So it's useless to give phone to customer care centre... instead i think factory reset would solve the bug... but i don't wanna do factory reset , as lots of app data stuck in my phone which cannot be backed up without root and i don't wanna root my phone also... so waiting for next update... never know, next update would be of Marshmallow....

secondly , this problems happened to many customers , so asus may take steps to rectify

Hey if you have recently purchased SD card, then you need to make sure the SD card is in FAT32 format, also make sure the device is on the latest firmware version.
Update all App's as you said that there is problem with File manager App.

On 18 feb 2016 i have done system update after that my mic is not working properly . User compliant that my voice is not coming properly .

today I checked the benchmarks on my phone 3GB ram version on ANTUTU benchmark application
the following results were obtained
1) 3D === 2041 points
2) RAM === 3775 points
3 )CPU === 14438 points
4) UX === 13253 points
total 33507 points

2) use only branded micro sd class 10 , I using transcend 32GB class 10, from two years, I never faced that problem
3) download and install Kaspersky internet security for android from google play store and update database and then do full scan both device and memory card
4)if it detects any malware or virus just delete them
5)download and install either bitdefender internet security 2016 for PC OR Kaspersky internet security 2016 for PC and update database do full scan
6) if the security detects malwares , virus , trajons means , just delete them without waiting
7) definitely you will come to know where is the problems

hei i face an issue that : when i insert microsd card, it work properly till some hours .
after some times i notice that the sd card is not working and couldn't able to open it using file manager . after i insert sdcard on my pc and i notice that all the file are hidden or not openend. i format the sdcard and solve the issue. but it will happened many times
please help me immediatly

I did not understand what is the link between the firmware update and the mic issue. i had given my mobile to the service center is there any other solution if the issue is not yet resolved.

After the last 1.17.40.1106 firmware update, few bugs (like mic problem, wifi awake seen in battery info [without turning it on]) have come up. The marshmallow update to this phone is about to reach in a month or so. Now, my question is... is it mandatory to update your mobile to latest firmware update in order to update the lollipop to marshmallow... or will it be updated from the version mobile came with... The reason why i'm asking this, is i wanna do factory reset and i don't wanna mess it up in any way...Please.. please reply.... advance thanks for replying..

more tips to reduce battery usage
37. try to clear cache memory and install new update
38. free up clear all cache memory in all apps in settings in apps
39. download and install Kaspersky Lab Internet Security 11.9 from google play store ,
then update the data base and do full scan
scanning apps for detection viruses , trojons etc , i uswe kaspersky , but iam not ordering to others
40. use proper charger and usb cable which is supplied by handset box
41. dont charge your phone through computer usb port , it reduce battery life by 5% as per research
42. turn off sync in all accounts , settings -- accounts - google account -- click email- remove all tick marks
43. turn off sync in all accounts , settings -- accounts - email account -- click email- remove all tick marks
44. turn off sync in all accounts , settings -- accounts - whatsapp -- click email- sync off
45. move all photos , videos songs to memory card( branded sd card )
46. make sure device memory should have atelast 6GB as free
47.move downloaded photos songs videos to memory card
48.move only whats app medias like photos videos to memory card , since whatsapp folder occupies morethan 4GB space , i conformed with me friend phone , and i checked
49. move bluetooths folder only tems ( received contents )to memory card
50. move share it folder only items ( received coontents )to memory card
51.move uc browser folder only items ( downloaded contents) to memory card
52.after uninstalling some applications, few data's are still left begained in android\odd\ folder , please check carefully and delete ( only for expert users )

only two differences are in ze550kl models
in 2GB ram version , cpu is snadragon 410 quad core gpu is adreno 306
pixel density 267dpi
in 3GB ram version , cpu is snadragon 615 octa core gpu is adreno 405
pixel density 293dpi ( i guessed )

internal memory 16GB emmc flash , 5.20GB i reserved for default os
after you must update for ssytem it takes 1GB
and asus appluiactios and google appliactions further it takes 2.45GB
total usable memory is 8.10GB out of 16GB
think once before buying
