"To re-calibrate your device battery, charge your phone to 100% without interruption then discharge it normally till 0%(phone gets witched off). Charge it to 100% in switched off condition and keep it in that state for a little more time now switch on your phone in charged condition and unplug when ASUS logo appears keep the phone unused for 5 mins. You will get far better battery life as the battery stats.bin file will be updated.
Also make sure you have performed wipe cache partition after the update.
Also make proper use of Auto start Manager & Power boost feature to disable background App & clear RAM frequently."

http://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-79885-1-1.html. The method worked for me now has good battery charge time as usual. I am posting the method from 'Khanz' here;
"Drain the battery out until the fone stops turning on. Recharge the fone in power off mode. Once full turn on fone and see if the battery shows 100% if not continue to recharge till it shows 100%, once fully recharged use the fone and drain the battery to zero, now when charging turn on fone and charge to 100%. Only do the calibration once. Make sure to keep the battery charged between 20 to 80% for a longer battery life."

kumar, 21 Jul 2016not supported YES.. asus ze550kl can use OTG !! confirmed !!! I use otg many times with my sandisk, samsung & strontium, use it to copy files betwen my gadgets.

Besides all the negative remarks I took that decision and found it was right choice for me. The software performance become much more smoother, battery backup become extremely great, also RAM occupancy become less by the system. Only draw back I found the hands-free speaker volumes become little low. But never mind it is still hear able in crowds. For me the updates working nicely noticeable differences. Hope work out for the others too.

TBH! This is one of the best phone I've use no complaints no regrets. I've seen a lot of people complaining regarding mic and camera and later after Mm update they say that notification led isn't working and some other issue but I don't whether they used this phone for real or not? Because the product which I got from flip kart is excellent, not even a single complaint. Btw I've updates to Mm and works like a charm. Asus is awesome :)

I tried many times to update my firmware version from 21.40.1220.1615 to 21.40.1220.1708 but every time it fails and after restart the phone the previous version still remains.plz give me the exact solution for it

Dear Readers,
I have bought ASUS zenfone 2 laser ZE550KL (2GB RAM, 32GB internal) built in with Android 5 version.
I got a OS patch update request and upgraded to Android 6 - Marchmallow. Now my phone stopped working and restarting continuously.
I visited the showroom and informed the problem, they said it is a common problem when u upgrade to Android 6 MM. Advised to wait for further OS patches and then it will work.
I felt this is not fair in this competitive world that new phone does not work after OS upgrade. ASUS should think this point and release the hardware compatible OS patches for latest MM

I have bought ASUS Zenfone 2 laser model # ZE550KL (2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory) couple of days back in KL, Malaysia in ASUS showroom.
It comes with Android 5. Once i got a OS upgrade request from ASUS, then i patched to latest Android 6 - Marshmallow version.
Now my phone stop working and restarting continuously. Immediately i have visited ASUS showroom and reported the problem. They told it is a common problem now for these models when they go with latest Android version until they release further patches.
However i got my piece replaced but ASUS should really think release proper OS compatible patches....
Hope all the readers can keep this point while buying....
