Yep that is true that you can not use both the SIM for Internet connection as only SIM 1 is available for that. SIM 2 can only be used for calling 📞, texting etc.

Coming from Nokia 3210, Moto Razr V3x, Nokia E61, Samsung P780, HTC HD2, iPhone 4, LeMoto S890, LeMoto P780, Alcatel Idol X, LeMoto K910, Huawei Honor 3C, ZTE Blade S6 and currently, ZTE Nubia Z7 Max. Got the ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE550ML unit from Lazada with RM100 discount at RM559 (SRP =RM749; but Lazada Ramadhan promo price was RM659). Playing for 7 days already (since 1st July 2015)... It's rooted Lollipop 5.0 under Stock ROM v2.19.40.13. Here's my comments about this unit: A = Android = ZenUI v1.4 ontop of Lollipop is brilliant. However, many junk apps out of the box; fortunately can be disabled or uninstalled. Plain users will enjoy the custom Lollipop interface. B = Body-Built = ASUS manages to make the plastic feel 'acceptable' but definitely not premium. Buttons are awkwardly placed but decent feedback (except the Power button). Capacitive non-LED buttons are disappointment. Size and weight are not to my taste (minority of users may like the size-to-weight ratio). 3rd party casing and tempered-glass protector is not necessary as the body has sufficient grip even if you have dry palm. There is Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the 5.5" TFT-IPS display. However, display quality is not to be desired. C = Call quality = Average but not to challenge my daily-driver ZTE Nubia Z9 Max. You cannot get reception when inside elevator or basement one. D = Data = LTE modules for Micro-SIM 1 are stable. Bluetooth 4.0 is stable too. No NFC for this variant. E = Email = Email client is flexible compared to other Android-based phones. It works as intended. F = Free-apps = Tons but shameful they are memory-data hog. ASUS lifetime 5GB cloud storage is just redundant. G = Games = As expected, heavy titles are not an issue for Intel Atom Z3560 + PowerVR 6430 + 2GB RAM. H = Hangouts = Video call for Skype, Google Hangouts, Tango etc. is superb for 5MP front facing camera. I = Internet = ASUS custom web browser is reliable. No checker-board effect on heavy websites. J = Juice = fixed 3000mAh Li-Po = "Decent". Claimed talk-time, stand-by time, etc. are achievable for dual-standby-Micro-SIM LTE phone. Power consumption during idle state is 2% from 11pm to 5am. Daily usage cannot beat my previous LeMoto P780. Quick-charged feature is remarkable and works flawlessly with certain types of adaptive/quick adapters and USB cables. K = Kamasutra (wink-wink) = Phone vibrates with notification/ringtone. Vibrating sensation is above average. Ladies may use it for other purpose(s)... LOL... L = Loudspeaker = Not the loudest for back-firing speaker. Maximum volume will distort the sound. Bass is below average. M = Music = ASUS-branded equaliser dubbed as "Audio Wizard" is weak. N = Navigation = Working as expected. Lock satellites within 10 seconds. Waze and Google Maps are working normally, even indoors. O = One-hand Operation = I have "big" hands and "long" fingers ;-) No further comments. To somebody, the 5.5" screen with thick bezel does not help to handle this 170gm hefty phablet. P = Picture = 13MP Toshiba f2.0 module is acceptable packed with advanced camera features/modes. Auto mode camera snapshot is reliable. Macro shots are acceptable. Pixel-master for low light image is a welcome feature. Q = Quirks = The capacitive buttons are non-LED. Body size-to-weight ratio is not for one-handed operation. The 720P 5.5" TFT-IPS screen quality is sub-par. R = Rooting = Available via sideloading CWM or flashing pre-rooted stock ROM. However, to get OTA update after rooting requires detail attention in order to avoid bootloop issue during the update. S = Sound = Earpiece sound for incoming call is average for both caller & receiver. Back-firing speakerphone is below average even at maximum volume. T = Texting = Stock keyboard by ASUS is OK. Swipe gestures is supported. You may need other 3rd party keyboard apps to choose for the best typing experience on the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at 5.5" screen. U = User-Interface = ASUS ZenUI v1.4 is smooth & flexible with various themes to choose. Thanks to the 2GB RAM. There is no need to install 3rd party launcher. V = Video = Capturing 1080P video is acceptable. 4K is not supported. Auto-focus is acceptable. Digital image stabilisation is only for 720P vids. W = WiFi = Average only. But having a/b/g/n and ac dual-band modes is a bonus for sub RM800 phone. Same like most other phones, it only manages to get 3 bars in my basement floor test. My current ZTE Nubia Z7 Max captures 5 full bars without fail. Huawei Honor 3C gets 4 bars. iPhone 4 only 3 bars. X = X-factors = For dual-Micro-SIM LTE phone (SIM 1 only) with 2GB RAM supported by 16GB onboard storage is worth every penny. Average voice/data/Wi-Fi reception is not in favour for those who live in the outskirts or camping sites. Gamers will like this unit too thanks to the 5.5" IPS screen, 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560, PowerVR 6430 and 64-bit Android Lollipop. Y = YouTube = The 5.5" TFT-IPS screen at 720P resolution accompanied by reliable LTE connection is an enjoyable experience. But wear your earphone/headphone to maximise the experience. Z = Zero-figure. Based price at Malaysia Ringgit RM559-point-zero-zero is a smart investment with current 64-bit chip plus Android Lollipop 5.0 out-of-the-box. But if you get this unit at RM749, better opt for other options (China-based manufacturers of course). LeMoto K3 Note will make you in dilemma if you have RM650 to spend. Xiaomi & Huawei similar products will make you dizzy too. CONCLUSION : Buy it if you are looking for budget-medium-spec phone having dual-Micro-SIM LTE support. Sorry Sammy, Sony, HTC, etc; your budget portfolios are over-priced!. 64-bit Intel SoC at below RM800 is affordable with the Lollipop 5.0 engine out-of-the-box. The ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE550ML will be my daily media consumption, gaming & GPS navigation unit but definitely cannot replace my current ZTE Nubia Z7 Max (RM1,149 on September 2014), which is my trustable and excellent smart gadget for the past 10 months.

The battery issue is a very serious problem. It will only last a few hours with moderate use. If your work is always outdoors, don't buy this phone. And the Wi-Fi doesn't connect sometimes even when the network can be seen. And my double tap to on phone only work sometimes. I was fooled by its cheap price. Generally a lousy phone

I have it now since about one month.

A good phone for the price but still lot of work to do since Lollipop is really the vista of Android.

Not the fault of Asus which is working hard on the updates but more the fault of Google which has really created a buggy OS in version 5.
