Embrace yourselves Samsung,Motorola,HTC,Nokia, Xaomi and what not...Zenfone2 is going to eat your market like a Piranha devouring a chicken....Super stuff ASUS.I will buy this phone juist for the heck of it.(from an owner of Nexus 6)

vivek salokhe, 18 Mar 2015will its battery will give good back up ? , i m confuse bet... moreThis phone is gonna be one of the best Android gaming devices in the world when its out. 720p screen coupled with a GPU like Power VR 6430(Its an overclocked version of the one in iPhone 5s) and can deliver Adreno 330 level performance.
The Mali T760 MP2 GPU found in A7000 is gonna deliver only 1/3rd the performance of this one.

I'm aware, and I've seen it. That's why I'm happy about it, so that this variant (720p, 2GB/16GB, 1.8GHz) with the perfect combo of specs is the cheapest of all. What's more, it gets LTE on AT&T and T-Mobile here in the US, so I don't have to wait for the US variant!
I'll be ordering one in the next month, unless the US release will happen within a week or two of buying, in which case I'll buy straight from Asus.

This is ZE550 ML and much better than Zenfone 5. And you are right that Ze 500 CL is basically repackaged ZF5. But it has a 2500 may battery and that's the one big problem that ZF5 had since it was short on battery.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2015Hey, can anyone let me know if this overheats as well like ... moreFirst of all no this is nothing like the previous Zenfone which used Intel chips built on the really old 32nm process which makes them heat and had bad battery.This one is built on 22nm and should be extremely efficient.
And what exactly do u mean by too costly for a Quad core? Is it because of the Octacore mediateks available in the range? If so then you have seriously no idea how chips work.
Mediatek octacores in the range are built on the weakest modern stock architecture I.e Cortex A7 and based on 28nm process while Quad core top of the range chips like SD800 from Qualcomm are custom Krait cores that are built based on Cortex A15 design and is a lot faster than any Octacore chip From mediatek.
Besides look at apple chips, they are using Dualcore and clocked really low and yet they outperform almost any chip in the market.
Just like that this Intel chip is built on custom architecture from Intel and is way ahead of mediatek Octacore phones in the price range. Also the GPU on this phone is an absolute beast and can blow any competition away with its performance.
So its totally a steal at this price.

Although this is a great phone at a great price, I might get an LG G2 instead, since you can get them new now for around $200-225 pricec range. As good or better specs, slightly smaller screen and a much smaller overall footprint, which I really like.

it would not work out in india as it is little costlier,who ever wanna buy dis fone plz go thru d specification as dr is no grt differnce btwn d ASUS ZRNFONE 5 n AZ 2 ZE 500 CL.Asus zen 2 ze 550 ml v 've xpectd dat it will b inbatwn 11-12000(180$-200$).

Hey, can anyone let me know if this overheats as well like other Asus Phones and secondly is it worth it? I mean isn't is too expensive for a Quad Core? Lastly Intel is good with Computers, but have been trying to make their mark on Android, but have not been successful, considering that is it a smart purchase?
