I purchased zenfone2 of 4gb ram,2.3 Ghz processor and 32gb rom.
Phone is ok. But it gets over heat while using.
Even it is charging it heats up like an iron box.
I am upset because of this.
I checked by switched off mobile and cherged it.
But even when it is switched off it gets over heat.
We may get radiation.
Parts may get gamaged by this. I spent INR 20k for this,not impressed.

My phone is ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML(4Gb/2.3Ghz/32Gb ROM).I downloaded and applied the update released as ZE551ML_ WW_V2.20.40.59 dated 12/08/2015. Now after update today evening I found that the phone whenever plugged into my 18W charger, was shutting down frequently. Notification shows that there is some THERMAL PROBLEM and then PHONE SWITCHING OFF appears.
Another thing which is associated with this issue while connecting the same charger with my Zenfone 2, the phone sometimes shows FASTCHARGING, sometimes show CHARGING(i.e. a normal charging, and takes too much time) and SOMETIMES DON'T CHARGE AT ALL. But please note that THIS ISSUE HAD BEEN APPEARING PRIOR TO APPLYING THIS UPDATE ALSO.
So should I relate this problem with the my 18W charger or is it a software issue in the new update.
Please also note the following
1. phone doesn't get so much hot apparently, that it need should shut down. Even then it shutting down on FASTCHARGE
2. Just now I have put my phone to charging again and now it doesn't show FASTCHARGE and the charging is stable.No shut down is happening.
3. As I have said,when the charger doesn't charge my Asus Zenfone 2 then it does not charge any other phone as well.
Please assist me. My phone is just 1 month old and not rooted.

The specs read, it appears that a ZF 2 e tel. good overall but a bit high price though. Compared to the competition, has several important technical specifications lack both the camera / video and on the software interface, switching to another system Android is not specified. So, the correct price is much lower than is now required as him, I think somewhere under $ 300 for. top of the range !!!

phone these days, it's all about ram ram ram. the best value for money. what do you expect? why spend 2-3x more expensive (yes, i mean iphone and galaxy S series) when you can get this hefty or better specs? i dropped my S5. used to be zenfone5 user. now zenfone2.
the only big regression from zenfone5 is that the second sim card slot doesn't support 3G. too bad. i don't understand why it can't.

But i... more5.2 x 1.35 = 7w (normal asus charger - takes 180 minutes for full charge , but no heating issue @ the time of charging)
9 x 2 = 18w (boost master charger - takes 75 minutes for full charge 0 to 100%),

I'm using zenfone 5 for the moment but unfortunately I dropped it and the screen was cracked.. planning to buy another unit again, and not sure if zenfone 2 is a nice option.. thanks
