have 4Gb version.. battery heats up a lot while charging/gaming/calls and discharges quickly. Not Happy with Asus Zenphone 2 ZE551ML

if u can deal with sm bug like heating n battery dran for 2-3 odd months then buy zf2 4 gb ram model
its beast in all form.
when 5.1 will come 99% problem wil b solved.

troy5890, 10 Jun 2015Thanks for clearing that up because I've been hearing a lot... moreBattery is worst and it does not last for even half day if you are using data.. Camera in bright light is natural and nice, but in low light, its quality is like a 2-5 MP camera.
I have the 2 GM ram FHD model ->51 which costs 14999/-.
Dont know if same issue persists in the 4 gb model!
But I regret buying this.. and when you are listening to FM or music and you get a message/call the volume wavers.
Sound quality / volume is not much when you are playing FM, but regular music plays quite loudly.. I wonder if it is a headset issue.

The only thing is Lollipop's appetite for power causing battery life to suffer. I got two 64GB units and they can last the entire day no problem. Could even last two days if I didn't keep looking at the screen every 5-10 minutes. :)

troy5890, 10 Jun 2015Thanks for clearing that up because I've been hearing a lot... moreI have bought ZF2 (2GB RAM with 16 GB Internal), but i have faced the overheating issue, not on the battery part but on the rear camera part. While taking pics, charging (needless to say, whilst playing games just for few mins also), the phone gets heated. Apart from that, faced issue with the SD card slot. It would give a msg, unexpected removal of SD card even without any handling. already got a replacement from the buyer for this but still facing same issues with the new one. Not sure if the issue is with this variant alone or Im getting all defective pieces to my luck. But yes, I have faced this problems. However, looks wise, phone is classy compared to all other models in this range and specs.

I am facing screen locking many a time, particularly when a call is being received. You just can swipe to lift it. touch does not work. Just after a while it becomes operational, but by that time call is lost. This has started after 1st asus update. 2nd update problem seemed to have goen away. But again it has appeared. Can anybody help?

I am using zenfone 2 for the last 1 month .. it is a very good phone .. never met any serious issue till now .. great display ,battery life but heat some time if you use this phone while charging ..I think every phone do so .. i am from india .. I think flipkart gave me a ww version..i am really happy with my phone and love the zenui

if you want to sign up for lolipop 5.1 join in....i only join because im not rooted...its up to you guys..i think this will fasten up our version to lolipop 5.1....

I've been using the zf2 us version for 2 weeks. Works perfectly. No problems. Came from note 4 which is great, I'm equally happy with zf2. Battery life has improved after a week's worth of recharges, now I never go below 60% by end of day. Screen brightness is not a problem, just turn it up to where you can see it. Everything works. Asus has sent me 3 updates, all installed without issue. For$300 (got the super whiz bang version) its the bargain of the year.
I liked it so much I bought the $199 version for my son. Can't really see any performance difference.
I believe this kind of unlocked phone is the future of cell phones. It will not take long for people to figure out that $200 is a lot cheaper than $750.
