Planning to buy Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (1.8 ghz, 2 GB / 16 GB). I have always preferred a qwerty keypad (Blackberry), but need to switch to Android now. Have noticed - are the Samsung handsets broader (with spacious key space) compared to other phones (Xiaomi, Yu, Asus, etc). That makes typing easier. Also ZE550ML (720 x 1280 pixels ~267 ppi pixel density) is around 13,000/- and ZE551ML (1080 x 1920 pixels ~403 ppi pixel density) is 15,000/-. Other ZE551ML models are 19,000 and above.
Hope this works on 2G (Tata Docomo) ?

my zenfone ze551ml not getting connected to wireless network'checked my wirless its good.
checked my wifi settings too its ok
restarted my phone
tried in safe mode
restored factory settings
nothing is working
pls help me out

Camera performance and battery life of this phone makes me re-think whether to buy it or not I hope Asus will use a better sensor for the camera in the next model of zenfone instead of Toshiba sensor and for the battery I hope it will be better soon because it drain too fast just like zenfone 5

hi.igot my asus zenfone 2 ze551ml just now.
hugely disappointed that its not getting connected to my wireless network.
itried switch off and on
restored factory settings
tried in safe mode
my wirless network is perfect since other gadgets are getting connected to it
pls help me out of this issue.

rocky, 12 May 2015plz reply me as I m using this phone last 3 days & I m ... moreYou said 4g/3g/H are intermittently showing the status but still you can use internet. well i think dont bother with that i think that is normal, in most cases that their are places that struggles with the signal. So the result the data signal will change rapidly.

plz reply me as I m using this phone last 3 days & I m facing only 1 problem that when I on mobile data then on taskbar data mark (E or 3G or H)showing me only for 5-10 min, then it is going hide automatically but my data is on & internet working properly, plz tell mi anyone facing same problem that how data mark automatically hide? & give me some solution for the same...

I just removed built-in application that are not useful which is using memory and battery and also turn off some application background data.

Default setting is data network is accessible using sim slot 1.But I can not access data network on sim slot 2 using zenfone 2 with 4GB ram.

after that switch off wifi and switch on mobile data from notification panel. it will work.

rupesh, 12 May 2015sirji thnks alott..ty soooo much ..jus do me a favour ..jus... moredont buy asus zenfone 2 ze550ml, it has only 2Gb RAM, 1.8Ghz and 16Gb internal storage it is waste of money. do go for asus zenfone 2 ze551ml that has 4GB RAM, 2.3Ghz and 32 gb internal storage that comes at 19999 on flipkart. dont buy 64 Gb or 128Gb variant they are waste of money. in 32 Gb variant you have 24 Gb free.and you can add memory card so that you can keep your valuable data on micro sd card. i have purchased ze551ml 32GB variant and added 32 GB transend class 10 micro sd card and enjoying latest fastest technology in the world provided by asus

2 days back got Zenfone 2 551ml with 2 GB Ram, Built is excellent, slightly bigger but awesome. No issues battery is good not poor or excellent. but the disappointment is rear camera. Its a fast device. Overall nice phone

Got my new Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 4GB ram with 2.3ghz. I can say that for such cheap price for high end specs its satisfied me with the performance, speed, features. For the HEATING issue its normal like if you are using multiple application and playing games and at the same time your browsing the internet it is common to all gadgets. But if your gadget/asus is heating even if not doing anything that's the big issue. The only CONS that i noticed in Asus Zenfone 2 actually based on my experience it drains my battery while the phone is turn off. It happens to me twice, fully charge it before i sleep and wake up as empty battery. At first thought it was issue, actually i think it is and need to address that by ASUS. The cost of that, if you do not close all opened application before you turnoff/idle your phone still its apps were running on the background. But nevertheless i was satisfied with asus zenfone 2
