i installed cyanogen 6.0 on my device and now it runs even better. on basemark x i got 18548 and 1111 overall score on the OS II. Im quite happy with my device since my last one was a g2 mini.

I have bought Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (Intel 2.3GHz, 4GB RAM) one year ago (Romania).
I was very pleased of it and the phone worked very fine. Even updated to Android M and everything worked fine - no issues.
But, now there is an issue:
- About a month ago the screen started not to be so crisp as usual, the text and icons have some sort of shadows under (like melting). Even some gray vertical lines seem to be visible sometimes (very dimmed) on the whole screen.
- Almost weeks ago, the phone started to have big issues: it does not display/update the image entirely on the screen (80% of the screen is either black, or only shows some colored vertical lines), but the touch screen is functioning (sometimes, I manage to launch some apps and the display works for them, but it does not in the usual screens/menus - app drower, OS menus, scrolls etc.).
I even disabled hardware overlays and completely reset the phone (hard reset), but to no avail.
Now I'm about to send it to warranty... after paying around 330euros and using it for a year :(
Great phone, but I've seen many people complaining about the same issue I have.
Also, we have been waiting too long for the Android M update.
I'm a big fan of the Asus products (PC-related stuff) and I didn't expect for this to happen in the smartphone area.

Thumbs down Asus!!!! Your motherboard kaput exactly after the expiry of the warranty. What a waste investing in this device. I am very unhappy with it. Two major problem in 12 month! No more Asus in future for me.

I'm using Marshmallow but most of the sensors like proximity and gyroscope aren't working.
Hope Asus fix it soon.

The MM update is horrible. I updated to MM and factory reset my phone, wiped cache partition, and still the phone HANGS A LOT after the update. It keeps hanging and you have to restart the phone everytime it happens.
I restart the phone like 10 times a day. Hope Asus release update for bug fixes.

Because the service centre in the neharu place the service centre executive says pls do not udate the system because the system updating is not good for asus mobiles after updation the mobile will creating hanging problem so much when using data connection or wifi.
Is that possible or not ?

before 2 months i had faced a display problem in which the mobile phone apps will operate automatically...and now ,I had faced a battery problem with which the phone is not getting started...since i had just got the phone before 6 months ...just withi 1 year i had faced a lots of problem

it's a very good smartphone, I've just upgraded it to Android MM without any problems, no bugs, everything's ok, all sensors are working fine. It has so many improvements you surely will love! ASUS delayed rolling out MM, but I think it worth it waiting for MM. very smooth rom...

So the Android M update is finally out, but after reading a few comments there seems to be some problems with the sensors after updating. Then a few people said that after upgrading, doing a factory reset should solve the sensor problem. Which brings me to 2 questions:
1. Can someone give a step-by-step process on how to back up my data before a I do a factory reset?
2. If i'm somewhat no6 pleased with the upgrade, how do i downgrade back to Lolipop?

Just copy ur .zip file to internal storage and restart the phone if u get a error message of upgrade, click on that message it will ask u to select file and press ok. And in 15min you will have android m on ur phone.
