Let tthe ASUS to go in hell, They are now confused whether announced price is less profitable as if they seems to be greedy after getting huge demand about ZF2.
Let's wait & wish to have XIAOMI REDMI 2 with 2gb ram & 16gb inbuilt which would be definitely 9k.

lots of news said, that it would be at a lower price considering it is a mini version. but its still at $199,if its final, i rather prefer the big guys... at same price

Some site runs story about the 5" 720p variant selling for $199 and provides NO SOURCE for the claim. Then all the other "tech" sites run with the story and again. Until Asus announces pricing, none of this means anything. Asus did in fact say the 5.5" 2gb 1080p version would sell for $199 USD when athe the CES launch.

I'm betting it will be cheaper and that the 5.5" 2gb 1080p Zenfone 2 will start at $199.

its very good camera,, we can take picture without led flash in the night, and we will get a good image from the zenfone 2's camera

There is no logic that 5inch 720p And Intel z2560 would cost same as original Asus presentation. Its downgrade not the same product. It will likely cost about 139 to fill the gap between zenfone c and zenfone 2 but 5inch is not the problem. Mediatek variant is. How will they price mediatek? 199? 150?
