hey guys, got mine. its 3 months old now. I don't see any problem on it.. even if I updated it into Nougat this not cause any problems on mine .. :) happy user here.. Thanks. just want to share mine.

Just got my zenfone max 3 5.5 for like 3 weeks and its one of the worst phone ever..
Week 1 - I notice time to time a crack underneath the phone is getting bigger near the screw
Week 2- The touchscreen is unresponsive & sometimes its laggy .. ( facebook and just playing mobile legend )
Week 3 - the touchscreen is no longer working as well as the finger print sensor
I am not recommending this phone, overprice
this is my last asus phone , so worst

Just got mine, I'm okay with overall aspect of this phone, one thing that doesn't impress me is the camera, in low light it's SO grainy (I used mi4i before, the camera is grainy too in low light but it's still tolerable) also one thing that I notice is the brightness sensor keeps changing when I use it indoor, but overall it's value for money

Guys, you should NEVER be eager to update to the latest operating system.
If we have learned anything, from DOS 4.0, Windows Vista, Windows 8, the security intrusions of Win10, certain flavors of Linux not fully tested and released...
AND... the slowdown, larger memory footprint of the new OS...
AND worst of all, the fact that your device did not go through a years of co-development between firmware and OS to debug it all.
UNLESS you can name _one_ single feature that is absolutely critical to your life, that you _must_ have, from the new OS, that the older one did not have, you have many reasons to _not_ "upgrade" to a new OS.
In fact, I am willing to bet, that 99% of you so eager to upgrade, did not even research everything that changes from one version to another. I bet that you think it'll make your phone better and faster, no research required! lol Well, as said above, it'll just hog more memory and resources, and unless your phone is severely broken with the original OS, you'll just make things worse.
When you think of it, it is the worst thing you can do.
So, before you mess up (ie: "upgrade" the OS), think twice - and think hard if you really need to.
It's not the phone that sucks: it's your decision to install the new OS!

If you want buy this fon..dont upgrade to nougat..
This fon camera is awesome..i very like it..

Freaked out, 29 Jul 2017Zf3 max sucks.. It flickered after nougat upgrade. Service ... moreSame issue here. What i did is I went to the nearest service center as advice by asus agent. I ask what they did to my phone. They downgrade from nougat to marshmallow then replace some parts. It takes 1 week before i got my phone. Dont upgrade to nougat until its bug free. Nougat is not yet stable. If your phone is under waranty then you dont have to worry. The service and replaced parts is free. No charge.

Zf3 max sucks.. It flickered after nougat upgrade. Service centers are very unreliable

Just updated my ZFONE3 MAX to nougat and got some major issues,
1. Keyboard doesn't work like the previous version, you need to wait for it to work but sometimes it doesn't work at all.
2. Some games / Apps are closing / We are unable to use those apps.

hi my asus zenfone 3 max 5.5 sometimes won't charge, sometimes will charge but with different charger not its own asus charger. then i thought it was gonna be okay again. but suddenly it keeps on shutting down, opening, shutting down, opening again, repeatedly until i don't know how long. but the time i try to drain it because i read about the callibrating when you drain your battery was really the frustrating one because the battery will appear but with 39% as it shows (note that the battery is drained) then it'll shut down again and 39% again will appear, repeatedly as if it wasn't really charging. now it is charging but i doubt it will charge again, i have to keep it shut down for days then it will charge again. then it will shutdown again. please help. i can't return it to the philippines even though it still has its warranty and it was just 4months old when it got broken last month.

I bought my ZenFone 3 max ZC553kl and updated it 3 weeks ago to Nougat
Issues:
1) Speaker and Mic are a little bit rudimentary when used on whatsapp / Skype. Especially Mic
2) upgrade to Nougat 7.0 software (but this existed in Kitkat also) which forces the apps to sleep too often. But that's just a setting. I fixed it
For the rest. happy camper here. quick, reliable, solid long life battery. And I only paid $200 new out of the box (they make them here around the corner..)
